Whipple Jones Hotel Suite
Whipple Jones III finished putting on his tie. He looked deeply in the mirror at the 5 star suite in which he was staying. Today was a big day for him, he had a meeting with Brooke, a woman he not only had loved but looked up to and admired. Brooke was a beautiful woman, sweet kind and a woman with a huge secret that he knew she’d do anything to keep.

Brooke’s Estate
Laughter sounded throughout Brooke’s house as walked to the landing looking down the stairs. She paused for a moment stopping to listen to her children. They looked happy sitting together at the breakfast table.
“ I’m telling you, he was a jerk.”
“ I was not.” Rick stated leaning over to kiss Lily on the side of her neck.
“ He came in all irate because someone was sitting in his table. I thought him to be a pampas rich spoiled show off.”
“ Hey it’s the best table in the house. You know us Forresters we only want the best, right?.”
“ Only the best.” Steffy supplied. “Learn that now.” Lily shook her head and laughed at the teen who sound so much like her fiancée.”He was also always coming in with one model girlfriend after another, all tall, different shades fawning all over them. Wineing and dining a different one every couple of weeks.”
Bridget smiled sipping her coffee. “ That’s my brother the playboy.”
“ Budge.” Rick gave his sister a warning look.”
“ You know Lily, I have some stories on him.”
“ I want to hear the one about the three bears.” Hope stated.
The group laughed. “Anytime, little sister.” Rick stated ruffling the curls in her hair.
“ So, how did you end up together if you hated each other…or you hated Rick.” Steffy asked as she reached for another piece of French toast off the serving tray.
Lily looked at Rick. “ One day he comes in and makes this request for the entire restaurant and special chef. We are all standing there and he comes toward me and ask me to sit down. Right in front of everyone.”
“ So you said…”
“ No. I was embarrassed and mad. This was my place to work, I didn’t appreciate getting hit on especially by him.”
“ I thought that she’ll be flattered. Instead it angered her.” So then I tried another tatic, I expensive flowers, jewelry, even a Forrester gown…she kept saying no.” He told the crowd. Brooke came down the stairs with a smileon her face. Her son sounded so happy and so in love.
“ So, how did you change her mind?” Pheobe asked.
“ You know us Logans, were are persistent.”
“ So now you are a Logan.” Brooke supplied.
“ I’m both.” Rick leaned up and kissed his mother.
“ He came each and everyday for three months asking me.” Lily stated. “ I was going to have him arrested for harassment but he was one of our biggest clients, it would have cost me my job.”
“ So I negotiated with her.”
Brooke sat down next to Steffy and took over feeding RJ. “ That’s my son the negotiator.”
“ What did you do?” Donna asked looking lovely that morning wearing a daring black sleeveless dress with leather overlays. Her blonde hair swept up in a twisted knot. She looked like a woman ready for business.
“ I promised never to come back to the restaurant to bother her if she would have dinner with me just once.”
“ I agreed. As long and I got pick the place and time.”
“ I was ready for anything. I just wanted a date so bad.” He admitted looking at Lily with love. She was so beautiful, her food tantalizing and she fascinated me so much partly because she kept saying no. I just wanted one chance with this amazing woman.”
“ I planned dinner at the local homeless shelter where I volunteer once a week. I thought that one look and he’d go running. Too bad I didn’t know that Forrester International gave a donation yearly to this shelter and that the resistant director knew Rick. But that didn’t impress me as much as he did that night. He dove right in and served the people.” Lily smiled. “And he looked down right sexy his jeans and shirt, but more importantly, I noticed how he treated the people. Most people who are wealthy I’ve found looked down at hard working people. I respected the fact that he didn’t. He gave 100% and show respect to others. I was impressed. ”
Rick leaned back in his chair. “Needless to say that I got a second date.”
“ And you’ve been together ever since.” Brooke stated with wistfulness. “That’s such a beautiful story.” She touched Lily’s hand. “ You’ve made my son so happy. I’ve waited a very long time for him to find someone like you.” Lily was instantly touched by Brooke’s comment. She had wanted Rick’s mother to like her.
“Thanks mom.” He mouthed before he turned to looked into the marvelous chocolate eyes of his soon to be wife. Lily looked beautiful in plum colored silk blend jersey top that sloped of her shoulder top and form fitting jeans. He took her small hand with her lean delicate fingers. Her engagement ring sparkled on her finger. He kissed it. “ I am more than happy.”
“ I am too.” Lily whispered.
“ It sounds like true love.” Pheobe stated. “ I can wait until I get married. Grandpa is going to make my gown for me. I’m going to be stunning. My groom handsome and we will live together happily forever.
Steffy shook her dark head. “ Not everyone gets a happy ending, just look at mom and dad. He’s leaving her and she’s a freaking mess.”
Bridget put down her cup of coffee shared a look at her mother. Brooke had the girls stay at her home but she had never mentioned what happened to their mother the night before. “ Steffy, be fair. Your mother needs time, your father ending their marriage is difficult for her.” Brooke had no intention of telling the girls the truth about their mother.
Rick frowned a the mention of Ridge, he wasn’t surprised by Ridge new change of tactic for he was always changing his mind about what woman he wanted as if he changed his clothes. It didn’t matter what it did to his mother or the children, he did just what he wanted. But he was surprised by his mother’s defense of Taylor, a woman who had caused her much pain.
“ You mean that she’s staying in her room closed up probably getting plastered.”
“ Steffy she wasn’t getting plastered.” Pheobe stated frowning at her sister pushing her plate away no longer wanting to finish her breakfast.
“ I saw the bottle opener and the cork. She was getting drunk. This isn’t the first time either. I’ve seen her stay up late drinking all alone at night.”
Brooke didn’t like where this was going. “Steffy…stop it. .” Pheobe exclaimed with embarrassment. She didn’t want others to know their shameful truth about their mother.
“Let’s not do this.” Brooke stepped in.
“ Why not. I’m telling the truth about her.”
“She’s still your mother and I won’t let you something unkind about her.”
“ Why? She’s never says anything remotely kind about you.”
“Steffy.” Rick stated.
“ Come on Rick, I’ve lived with her. I’ve heard all the nasty things she said. I’ve heard her and grandmother call you a whore all the time. They laugh at you and make fun of you all the time. They don’t care. You are nothing but the butt of their sick jokes. ” Steffy stood she looked like a beauty tall lean wearing a pair of tight low riding jeans and a white baby doll top, her long brown hair in curls around her shoulder. She looked drastically different than her identical sister, Pheobe who wore a cute pair of white cuffed shorts and a delicate buttercup yellow polka dotted silk blouse with capped sleeves. Her hair pulled back in a ponytail unlike her sister, the twins were growing to be real beauties. She walked away storming out through the living room through the French Doors.
Brooke looked at Bridget. “ Can you finish feeding RJ for me?”
“Sure mom.” Bridget looked lovely in very tiny gold colored dress with high heeled jeweled sandals. heels.
Brooke stood and followed Steffy outside. She hesitantly stepped toward the hurting girl. “Steffy” she reached out and touched her. “ I know that you’ve had a difficult time connecting with your mother, but she loves you.”
“ She says horrible stuff about you all the time.”
“ That’s in the past, besides you don’t need to protect me all against your mother. Your mother and I have had a complicated history and your grandmother has a dislike for me. That’s never going to change. This is nothing new, but we all love you.”
Steffy looked at Brooke, her stepmother looked lovely in a beautiful simple crimson and cream silk colored wrap around dress with a matching gold belt that molded against her amazing body. Red stiletto with a gold colored Marc Jacob heels covered her feet while she wore a gold necklace. She had foregone the sling for a simple wrist band on her injured wrist. “But that’s in the past between your mother and I and I have a feeling that’s changing.” Brooke stated honestly.
“ Why? Because of dad left her? She’s never forgive you for him leaving her.”
Brooke shook her head. “ No, because of you and your sister and brother. We both love you all. That’s something your mother and I have in common. We all love you guys a lot.”
Steffy looked at Brooke for a moment. “ I’ll admit that I felt a little sorry for her when I found out that dad was leaving her but then I went home and she just shut herself up inside like the world was falling apart. It was like I didn’t matter.” Her face took a look of steely determination. The truth is, I could deal with that. She and I, we aren’t close but Pheobe was all worried. She ignored her. Pheobe knock and knocked and she just ignored her. How could she do that? Pheobe’s the sensitive one. Mom had to know it would hurt her.”
Brooke knew that was the night that of Taylor’s attack. “ Honey, I’m sure your mother didn’t mean to ignore you. She was going through something…”
“ She’s always going through something. And instead of handling it like you she falls apart or drinks.”
Brooke paused for a moment. “ You mentioned that before, do you think that she has a problem with alcohol?”
Steffy was quiet for a moment.“ I don’t know. All I know that lately, she’s been drinking a lot of wine.”
Brooke was concerned. If Taylor were drinking more and more, what really happened the other night. Could Taylor have become so drunk that she lost all reason and brought a man home? But Brooke needed to get Steffy’s focus off her mother’s drinking.
“ Honey, I’ve fallen apart countless of time, just ask Bridget or Rick. And it wasn’t pretty.”
“ When she kicked you out you went to work, you continued to be a mother to RJ and Hope.”
“ Only because I’ve learned from my mistakes in the past honey. Listen to me, please try to cut your mother some slack. This is difficult for her…she’s going through a rough time but she loves you very much. It’s important that you be there and try to support her. As a mother, your children are you only beacon of light.” She touched Steffy’s cheeks. “ You and Pheobe are that beacon for her.”
Steffy looked at Brooke processing what she said. Deep down she didn’t want to hurt her mother but she just didn’t feel connected to her. She always thought that her mother was looking down at her and judging her. Things were always different with Brooke, she connected with Brooke. Her warmth, her acceptance, even her mistakes. Brooke’s home was filled with people love and laughter, her home with her mother was different. Taylor didn’t have any real family, no real friends expect for her grandmother. Yes, she was on countless committees with other wealthy woman but she had no real friend to be for her or supportive of her. The only person who really looked out for her was James. It was strange, everyone thought highly of her mother but did they know her, understand her. Steffy didn’t understand her. It was hard getting to know her again. A mother she had loved when she was young but really didn’t know. It was hard to pretend that the years hadn’t passed, no matter how her mother tried to pretend they hadn’t. “ She did let us stay here with you last night. I never thought that would happen.” Steffy reluctantly admitted.
“Like I stated earlier, your mother and I are finally coming to an understanding. Isn’t that what you want us to have common ground?”
Steffy shrugged reluctanly. “ As long ad I can see you, then I just I’m okay.”
“ Good, so stop being so hard on her. Believe it or not she loves you.” Brooke looked at her watch.
“ Listen sweetie, we’ll talk later. You need to get to school. Rick’s going to take you and your sister for me.”
“ He doesn’t have to. Cassie’s picking us up.”
“ Then, get going. I’ll see you later tonight okay?”
“ So we are staying here another night?”
Brooke nodded. “ Yes.”
“Great. I’ll see you tonight. If you want Pheobe and I can made dinner, that herb chicken cheese rice casserole that you taught us.” When Brooke had been their stepmother, they had
Brooke smiled at her Steffy. “I’d love that.”
Steffy went back inside. Brooke stood for a moment.
“ You handled that nicely.” Brooke looked up to see Bridget coming outside. Brooke looked up to see Bridget coming outside, her daughter looked so beautiful today. So happy. Brooke was thankful that Nick was making her happy. She prayed that Nick kept his word.
“Taylor’s gone through something terrible she doesn’t need the girls upset at her.”
“ I’m getting ready to head over toward the hospital. I’m going to check on Taylor’s blood work and hopefully we will find something.”
“ What if we don’t?”
Bridget shook her head. “ I don’t know. Mom, I know James thinks that it was rape but I couldn’t tell one way or the other. The truth is, Taylor may have gotten drunk and took someone home to bed.Especially after what Steffy said.
Brooke shook her head. “ I know. But I just I don’t see her taking a stranger into her bed. It’s not like her.”
“ Mom, she was in a really bad spot. She loves Ridge, he’s leaving her.
“ But that’s the thing, she ended it.”
“ What?”
“ Taylor told me she ended things with Ridge.”
“ Why?”
Brooke paused. “ She was tired of living in limbo and not having a real marriage I guess.”
“ Still, ending it must have been hard for her. After all it was very hard on you.” Bridget stepped forward placing a hand on Brooke’s shoulder. “It still is isn’t it?” Brooke looked at her daughter. “ We know mom, how much you loved him.”
“ I thought it would last forever, but it didn’t.”
“ He wants you back.”
“ For how long Bridget, a week, a month a year? That’s the thing with Ridge, it never last. He says all the right things, he promises it’s going to be different and I cave, I give in and want to believe that it is destiny, that we are meant to be together and then something happens and it’s over.” Brooke shook her head and sighed. “ I don’t want to live like that again. Though all the hurt, the pain, the disappointment. I certainly don’t want RJ and Hope to go through what you and Rick did.”
Bridget remembered the pain of losing Ridge as a father. “ I guess, I didn’t help with that thing between he and me and Amber last year did it ?’
“ Oh Bridget.”
“ I’m so sorry mom. Sorry for what I did, how I hurt you.”
Brooke cupped her daughter’s face. “ That was a long time ago, you were confused.”
“ I wanted to hurt you and I confused the love that I had for Ridge for something else.”
“ Sweetheart, it wasn’t your fault. I destroyed things between us because of Deacon.” Brooke paused for a moment. “ Speaking of Deacon, does having him back upset you.”
Bridget looked surprised. “ No, why would it?”
Brooke looked at her daughter sadly. “ I betrayed you with him and seeing him with Hope has to be difficult.”
“ Seeing him with Hope is the right thing.” Bridget stated honestly. “ I love fact that he’s spending time with Hope. She needs her father and he needs her. Besides, Deacon changed.” She stated moving to sit down on her mother’s lounge chair. “ You’d seen him.” She stated with a small smile. “ He’s working out, stopped drinking and clothes look great.”
“ Yeah…I guess.”
“ Come on mom. He’s hot.”
“ Bridget, I’m not looking at Deacon and neither should you.”
“ Mom, I’m married, not dead.” Bridget smiled. “ I’m just looking.”
Brooke laughed neverously. “ This is not the conversation I want to have.”
“ Well, I just noticed. Okay.” Bridget paused playing with her wedding bands. “Deacon will always have a special place in my heart. He’s trying to get himself together and I admire that because it wasn’t easy.”
“ Mmm.” Brooke stated. “ As long as he keeps his word, doesn’t start drinking and is good to Hope I’m not going to have a problem with him being around.”
“ I wish that you’d talk to Nick. Right now he isn’t feeling Deacon.”
“ Nick? I never thought that he had a problem with him.”
“ Well, he didn’t until the whole thing with Jackie. Nick hasn’t forgotten that. Maybe you can talk to him.”
Brooke shook her head. “Honey, I don’t so…”
“ Mom, he respects you and your opinion.”
Brooke knew that. That was one of the reasons she wanted to stay away. “ Bridget, he’s your husband.”
“ I know that but we’ve just gotten married, I don’t want to fight about Deacon.”
“ I don’t want to be involved.”
“ Mom, love my husband. But I always care for Deacon. I want us to get along.”
Brooke paused. She wanted Bridget to be happy.“ I’ll think about it okay.”
“ Thanks mom.”
Brooke turned to her daughter. “ About Taylor, we don’t know what happened that night.” Bridget paused.
“ I know that you are worried about her.” Bridget paused. “ Who would have thought, you and Taylor.”
Brooke shook her head. “ Crazy huh?”
“ I heard you stayed with her a long time yesterday.”
“ She was upset and needed someone to talk to you.”
Bridget smiled. “ You really do have a big heart.” She hugged her mother. “ That’s why I love you. It’s always why it’s impossible to stay mad at you for long.”
Brooke smiled before breaking the hug. “ I better get going, I want to spend some time with Hope and RJ before I leave to go to work.”
Bridget nodded. “ Okay mom.” She turned for a moment. She hoped that she’d get some information to uncover what happened to Taylor. Rape was a horrible thing and no woman deserved that.

Taylor’s Mansion
James watched Taylor as she lay resting. Bridget’s medication had indeed knocked her out for most of the night. He was very concerned. About her physical state, her emotional state, and her well being. He knew that Bridget thought that Taylor may have gotten drunk and brought a man home. But he knew better. He knew that Taylor wouldn’t do that, she would never bring a man here with the girls. Then there was the issue of violation. She had been sodomized. Last night, he had called the police to file an official report. They would be sending someone over later that day to take an official statement. The thought of a man touching her in such a manner made him ill. She had been through so much with Ridge. He had broken her heart to the point that she finally had had enough and let him go. Right now, he was committed to helping her get through this and so was Brooke surprisingly. He watched Taylor, his heart feeling a flutter as he watched a woman he admired and still have feelings for. Taylor was a wonderful woman and he’d do everything in his power to help her. His cell phone rang. “ Hello. Yes, what information do you have for me?”

Forrester Creations
“ No, that’s fine. Just make sure that you have her back by 5 tonight. Sharp, okay, I don’t want her schedule messed up it’s important we keep. No, that will be fine. No…I’m trusting you, make sure you do the right thing. Bye.” Brooke hung up the phone. Deacon had called and wanted to have some quality time with Hope, Brooke had agreed. Although she knew that Ridge and Nick didn’t like the idea, she thought it good that Hope spent time with her biological father. Deacon had stopped by the night before and spend an hour talking to Brooke and she too agreed with Bridget, it seemed that he had grown up. He talked about his plans. It seemed that Deacon had come into some money and planned to buy a warehouse and turn into his own club. Brooke thought that it was a lot to take on, however he stated that he had some investors and a very good business plan. Brooke surprisingly had found herself suggesting a good lawyer and offered to look over his plan. It had looked very good but deep down that part didn’t seem to surprise her. Deacon for all his faults was very good a planning. He had done a fantastic job at Forrester Creations in the promotions department when he worked for her. Brooke asked about Little D, he stated that he had given full custody to Becky’s parents, and it was the right thing to do, he stated though he paid child support and had visitation. She sighed and leaned back in her chair. Yesterday had been long with the situation with Taylor, getting the girls and Deacon.
There was a knock on Brooke’s door. “ Come in.”
Marquis came in, the handsome designer didn’t looked as relaxed as he usually did although he looked stylish in his dark pants and burgundy colored shirt. “ I thought it best if we talk.”
Brooke nodded. “ Good, I was going to try to see you today.”
“ I wanted to talk about yesterday…” He ran his fingers through his luscious hair before sitting down in the chair across from her. “ I couldn’t sleep last night after yesterday. Tell me, how’s Taylor?”
“ We took her home and she’s resting. I have the girls until Ridge gets back in the country or Taylor’s ready.”
This surprised Marquis. “ He’s gone?”
“ Business trip.”
“ I’m surprised.”
“ I’m not. I sent him on it.” She stated simply. Marquis wondered what that was about but kept his mouth shut. Marquis leaned forward. “ I want you to know that I didn’t mean Taylor any harm the other night. My motives were only to help her, she looked as if she needed a friend.”
“ What happened?” Brooke asked.
“ I ran into her here at the office. I felt sorry for her. She’s been through a rough time.” His brown eyes found hers.
“ I guess in a way she reminded me of my mother.”
“ Your mother?”
“ Yes, when my father died, she remarried to this arrogant asshole, Philippe, he was nothing but a playboy. Younger than her by more than a couple of years. He fooled around a lot, spent her money and made a fool out of her. The disappointment, the anger and the pain. I recognized it. I wanted to help her, that’s all. Give her someone to listen to, someone who could be objective about the situation.
Brooke could understand that. Sometimes she found herself talking to Marquis, telling him things that she hadn’t shared with others, she found that he was easy to talk to. But she also realized that she knew very little about the charming designer.
“We went to Café Ruse and we had a drink however I didn’t try to get her drunk. I would never do that. However looking back I should have never left her.”
“ Marquis….”
“ I swear, I didn’t touch her.”
“ I believe you.”
“ You do.” Hope sprung in his eyes.
“ Yes…I do. I know that I haven’t known you for long but you’ve always been kind to others and good listener. Taylor was upset, understandably, and you were trying to be kind to her.” Brooke found that was in his nature. “ You couldn’t have foreseen this tragedy that occurred.”
Brooke touched his hand lightly. “ I’m just sorry that you got caught in the cross fire. I love your work, it’s amazing. You’ve been a wonderful asset to the company. I want to assure you that I want you here to stay at Forrester.”
Marquis looked relived and smiled. “ What about Ridge, he wasn’t a fan of mine to begin with.” Ridge hadn’t liked Marquis from the start, Brooke thought maybe he had been jealous of the handsome charming designer.
“ I’ll handle Ridge. Besides, the decision is not his, it’s mine.” Brooke shook her head sadly. “I’m so sorry this happened. Someone took advantage of Taylor.”
“ For that, I’m sorry.”
Brooke looked at the designer. “ There is something else. I want you to know that your sexual preferences don’t impact how I feel about you or your work.”
He smiled giving her a charming smile. He paused for a moment looking at her before he lowered his head to kiss her cheek. “ I want you to know that if I were interested in women, you’d be first on my list.”
Brooke smiled. “ Thanks…it helps to know that I still got it.”
“ I don’t think that you are worried about that. We’ve all seen how men react to you. When you walk into a room, men notice you.” He gave her charming smile. “ Even me, and I’m not even interested in women. You are an unforgettable woman, your beauty, style and grace. He paused for a moment. “ But there is more to it than that, it’s your kindness to others, the love that lives inside of you. You can see it in the way that you treat others and the way that you treat your children.” He paused for a moment. “I’ve spent time with you and Ridge. He’s a very talented designer, god knows he knows what looks amazing on women, nobody designs like him however I’ve seen the pain that he caused you. I really hope that you don’t plan to get back together with him. He’s hurt you enough. You deserve someone better, someone to look after you and protect you.” Brooke was left speechless by Marquis’ comment. It was full of such sincerity and seriousness, so different than normal lighthearted comments the designer often spoke with. He gave Brooke a lot of food for thought as he left Brooke office and walked past the office where Sienna, her new assistant stood next to her computer. He raised his hand in greetings. Sienna smiled and waved, when he disappeared, the smile fell off her face.

Glenmount Private School
Steffy and Pheobe walked down the hall toward their class with their friends Cassie and Remy laughing and talking when Steffy noticed some of her classmates looking at them, some with pity and others with laughter. Melanie Harper, a senior with fake blonde hair and fake boobs made her way over toward the twins with a malicious smirk. Melanie had always hated Pheobe because her boyfriend Christopher had the hots for her. She tried to make Pheobe as miserable as she could.
“ Well, isn’t it the double mint twins.”
Steffy stepped in front of her sister. “ Well, isn’t it the school whore.”
Some of the girls laughed but Melanie only smirked.
“Whore…is that what you are calling me Steffy?”
“ If it looks like a whore, smells like a whore and spread her legs like one then I guess that’s what it is.”
Melanie turned bright red for a moment before she controlled her anger. “ You’ve got some never considering the way that your family whores around. Especially your mother?”
Steffy’s eyes narrowed. “ My mother doesn’t whore around.”
Melanie laughed as her two friends Crystal and Daphne.
“ Yes…don’t tell me, you haven’t seen it?”
“ Seen what?” Pheobe asked.
Melanie laughed only harder. “ Should we show it to her guys.”
Steffy didn’t like game playing and it was clear to her that Melanie was playing a game with her now. “ Just shut and show us whatever you want to show us.” Steffy refused to cow tow to that bitch.
Melanie threw her IPhone to Steffy. “ It’s just nothing but a video showing what a true whore your mother is. I just love the way she’s spreading them…it looks like on of those guys are getting some backdoor action. It’s no wonder your father dumped her.”
Steffy looked down at the video. It was of her mother, naked on her hands and knees while two men took her sexually.

FBI Replacement Headquarters

Linc sat at the conference table with his team. Logan was stationed at Brooke’s house, Sienna was at Forrester Creations while Reynolds was placed at her driver as well as her personal bodyguard, he wanted her protected at all times. The rest of the team was assembled and waiting for him to speak.
“ Right now, we have full background checks on the list of men that Aimes put together.
They began to run down the backgrounds for each other them men.
“ What do we know about the fashion designer? Aimes asked. He works in close proximity than the rest of the men. She is his go to person with the footwear line.
Liza uploaded the information. “Marquis is the adopted son of Arlene and Armand Gregory, the wealthy couple had adopted him at six weeks old when his teenaged mother died in childbirth. He grew up as an only child in New York. His mother was a well known fashion model Arlene LaRue until she had married the corporate pirate Armand. She quite to give him a good home on the Upper East Side. Armand died in a tragic plane accident and only a few months later, she married his best playboy Nathan Drew. Marquis had been close to his parents, however he seemed to go into some sort of downward spiral when his father died, the highly social man became an introverted. He did not take it too well that his mother remarried a man much younger than himself. There were rumors of Arlene having some emotional issues because of the marriage to the playboy. Marquis stopped talking to friends, kept to himself and although he did well in college he dropped out of and seemly dropped off the face of the earth for about a year.”
“ Where was he during that time?” Liza asked.
“ We don’t know. There was no activity on his banks records, he never used credit cards, or touched his money in his accounts nor his trustfund.
“ Trustfund?” Linc asked
“ Yes, he’s independently weathly.”
“ Yet he works for the Forrester?” Liza inquired.
“ Not all people who have wealth are content staying at home. During the time he disappeared even his mother didn’t know where he was.” Aimes clicked a button and a report shown on the digital screen.
“ She filed a police report. But because there was no suspicion of foul play, nothing was every done.”
“ When he pop back on the grid?” Linc asked.
“ A year later. He suddenly showed up at home, decided to go to design school instead of college. However he never discussed where he was or what he was doing. He changed his career goals though and moved toward fashion. Friends noted he seemed much happier and at ease. Of course it may have something to do with the fact that his mother husband died.”
“ Died?”
“ Yes, boating accident. Seems Nathan got drunk, got loaded with some underaged hookers and partied to hard.”
“ No foul play?”
“ No, Marquis was with his mother at the Met when her hubby died.
“ Any women in his life?”
“ That’s the thing.”
“ Not on record.”
“No relationships?”
“ He dated a few in college but nothing serious. Some suspect that he may be gay but we don’t know. We don’t have any evidence. He keeps his private life very private.”
“ He is single, male, in his mid thirties, he just came to Forrester, he knows Brooke they could have a close connection.”
“ But he doesn’t necessarily fit our psychological profile.” Dr. Julia Rather stated, the Austrian doctor who had been called in to study the GA. “ His childhood abet, seems normal. Based on the information in his files he gets along socially with both male and females. No signs of shutting others out, keeping to himself. He’s very artistic focusing on the right side of his brain. Not the left like the GA. She looked at the others. “ I also studied the footage that you sent me interacting with Brooke yesterday. There would be a sense of coldness, something I didn’t note during the videotape. Nor were there any evidence of physical desire being in such close promixty of Brooke. There should have been. Then there is the issue of his hands, he’s right handed, not left. Based on the data we have from the GA, he is left handed.”
Right now, I don’t think it’s him.”
“ We don’t know this.” Linc stated. “ The man disappeared for a year, he fell off the grid.”
“ His father died Linc. That could be a natural response to losing his father.”
“ When my father died, I didn’t drop off the face of the earth.”
“ Well, considering your natural intense dislike of male drinkers, your physical aggressiveness with men you consider to be abusers, and your unforgiving nature with men who leave their families, we already know that you have father issues. No doubt from your own.”
“ You know what Julia? f*ck you and your analysis of my own father issues.” He leaned forward. He never did like Julia, she was a good doctor but a mean cold hearted bitch of a woman. “My old man was a hard nose who liked to knock me around for kicks. Are you happy.”
“ No, but neither are you.” She stated coldly. Being a work-a-holic going from case to case with almost an obsessive intense at closing your cases. And avoiding any relationship with a woman that isn’t a purely sexual in nature shows or job related clearly shows you reluctant of having a family. Probably stemming from the fact that you didn’t have one.”
“ That’s enough Dr. Rather.” James Holden, the chief of the bureau was watching digit conferencing. “Save it for the perps, not us. Do you understand me?”
Linc looked at her, he suppressed his fury. He wasn’t the type of man to strike a woman, but he certainly hated the bitch.
“ As far as I’m concerned Marquis Gregory is a still a suspect until I say otherwise. We don’t have enough information to exclude him.”
“ I agree.” James stated.
How about the investigation on the video footage, were we able to salvage anything?
“ No.” Aimes stated but I did find out something.
“ What?”
‘ We looked at the different codes for the garage. Not everyone has the same code. The last code that was punched in from outside to access the garage was 3733.”
“ And?”
“ Well each group of people based on where they work have personal codes. Only the executive staff has a codes that start and end with 3.”
“ That narrows it down to a list of twenty people.”
“ Good, any other information?” Linc asked.
“ Yes, one other thing our perp’s house was searched and although we found no connection to he and Forrester creation, we found 15,000 dollars in cash. A Kim Porter was listed as his next of kin, I’m going to interview her with the police today.”
“ 1d,000.” Linc looked at Aimes. “ More and more it this looks like an inside job.”
“ I was thinking the same thing.” Aimes stated. “The security code, the money, our perp was being paid to attack Brooke but for what? I’m trying to figure it out. But the truth of the matter is even if we do, it doesn’t help us get any closer to the GA.”
“ No. It doesn’t.” Linc rubbed his eyes. He had had a long night going over old case files. “Nor does it help that Ridge Forrester had most likely made himself a target.”
“ We’ve taken care of that issue. We’ve secured an agent to go overseas with him, although for now he is probably going to be alright.”
“ The GA isn’t going to want to be to far away from Brooke.”
“ How about when he comes back? Based on his history he’s going to make a play for Brooke and want to reunite.”
“ That ain’t going to happen.” Linc stated. “Brooke’s going to be moving on with a new man in her life.”
James looked at Linc. “ Who?”
“ Me. I’m going undercover as Brooke’s newest lover.”

Taylor’s Mansion
James put the plate of over easy eggs and fresh bacon on a plate in front of Taylor. “There, I want you to try to eat something.”
Taylor who was fresh from a shower still had damp hair, a black robe covered her body. “ I’m not sure that I can.”
James took her had. “ You have to try to eat Taylor. You need your strength. You’ve been through an ordeal.”
She looked at him with haunted eyes. “ Are you sure?”
James paused. “ Am I sure about what?”
“ That…I….maybe it wasn’t what I thought.” She shook her head. “ I’m so confused about what happened…I know it was real. But…I don’t know about anything else.” Tears spilled out of her eyes.
James took her hand. “ Something horrible happened to you, that I know. This man took advantage of you.”
“Did he?”
James paused. “Taylor…what are you saying?”
“ You know that I’m no saint. That I’ve made mistakes ….even with you.” She looked at him. “That night in Big Bear..”
This surprised James. “ That was a long time ago. We have no need to talk about it now.”
“ We’ve never talked about it.” Taylor whispered.
“ There was no need.”
“ Why not?”
“ You did what you did for me.”
“ No, it was what I did for myself.” Taylor paused for a moment taking a sip of the hot tea that James had made her. It was now time for the truth. She hadn’t been honest with herself or others. She hadn’t been honest about a lot of things and now she was paying a price. She looked at her longtime friend, a man who had been there for her and helped her during the hardest times of her life. “ It wasn’t just about giving you the one thing that you hadn’t had but about me. I wanted to be touched by someone, not to feel so alone. I thought that Ridge had chosen Brooke over me, that he had went to her and I wanted to feel something to feel wanted by you. I never was honest with you about it.”
“ Taylor, as I stated that was a lifetime ago.”
“ Was it?” Taylor wasn’t so sure anymore. “ I was going through a hard time and I turned to you. The other night, I was going through a difficult time. I was drinking…something that I have been doing lately. Something…I’m not proud of. Just maybe I had too much to drink and I asked that man to take me home….and…”
“ No!” James didn’t believe it. “ I know you Taylor. I know that you would never take a man home. And certainly not have the type of sex that happened. You were attacked….taken advantage of.
Taylor wanted to believe James however she was frightened by everything. The truth was, she couldn’t remember.
“ But…maybe I did. I was drinking. I’m not sure what happened anymore. Just look at what I did yesterday, I accused Marquis and he didn’t do it.”
“ That doesn’t mean that someone didn’t take advantage of you.”
Taylor shook her head, she was so confused about what had happened to her. She didn’t have any answers, but she needed them.
James saw the fear in her eyes and the uncertainty of the truth, but he knew deep in his bones that she hadn’t brought some man home to bed her. He moved toward her gently touching her cheeks.
“ I know you Taylor. You are a good woman, a woman of moral fiber and a wonderful mother.”
“ Steffy doesn’t think so.”
“ Steffy’s a teenager, just give her time to get to know you. In the meantime, let me help you.”
Taylor wasn’t sure how he could help her.
“ How?”
“ By trying to fine out the truth, no matter what it may be.”
Taylor looked at James. For such a long time she felt so alone. It was hard coming back and restarting a life that had no doubt gone on without her. The few friends that she had had moved and she had to start her practice all over again, with only a few patients. Her little girls were not that anymore, they were beautiful young ladies. Smart, witty and wonderful, not to mention stubborn. She loved the twins but she also noticed that when it came to certain matters, they turned to Brooke not her. A few days ago, just the thought of Brooke Logan would have upset her, but now she began to think of her rival differently. Brooke had shown her so much compassion, she had taken care of her during a hard time and had not ridiculed her. For years, she had thought herself better than Brooke. It irked her that ridge had always thought highly of the buxom blonde but now, for once, she had understood why.

Aimes close the door to the conference room. “ Are you sure that you want to do this?”
“ It’s not the first time I’ve gone undercover.”
She gave him a knowing look.“ Yes, but this is different and the whole team knows it.”
James and others had listened, even that bitch Dr. Rather, but she had remained silent as Linc stated all the reasons it would work. Linc had already been introduced as a friend of Brooke’s brother only a handful knew him to be an agent. However, a perfect cover had been established. One in which he’d be a security specialist who had retired from a unnamed governmental agency to start his own security service. It really wasn’t too far from the truth. The best covers where ones where you didn’t have to make. Publically he’d be an old family friend with his own security company. He and Brooke had a history being friendly and with the attack, he’d spend more time with her. They’d start dating. It was the perfect cover, allowing him to be by her side and draw the ire of the GA, more importantly keep his attention off of Ridge.
It was a calculated risk. However, it did make sense. Brooke would be protected and the GA, would most likely make a move on Lincoln, something the group was now anticipating. It was a calculated risk.
“ You are putting yourself in the line of fire.”
“ No more than usual.”
“ This means that publicly you are going to have to be off cases for a while.”
“ That’s not a problem.” Linc stated looking at his partner. “After this, I’m going to take a long needed vacation.”
“ Good. It’s time you gave yourself a break. Have some fun or something.”
“ Hey, I’m not the only one.”
Aimes sighed. “ No, you aren’t.”
She looked at him for a moment. All the stuff with his father was personal. They all had their demons and although it wasn’t public knowledge she had Linc had been partners for a while. He had shared a few brief pieces about growing up with a drunk of a father. The Logan had truly saved him in a way.

“ Well, I may have found something.” Yoko, the Asian American forensic specialist stated to the team she had called back.
“ I was going through the letters and noted something.” She hit the remote. “ Right there, look the pattern changes slightly.
Linc and the others looked at the writing. “
“ The writing pattern changes from this line here to this line here.” She clicked a button and the penmanship enlarged. “It changes, also most if someone else were writing for a few minutes and then it goes back to the first style.”
“ What does it mean?”
“ To tell you the truth, I’m puzzled it’s as if someone else entirely was writing this line.”
“ But the pattern, the words in the text is typical for the G.A. It’s him. He wrote this. ”
Yoko leaned forward. “ Yet, the handwriting changed, why? It’s not like he was trying to disguise it. To tell you the truth, it could be nothing or it could be a clue to something more.”
“ Such as.”
“ There have been studies about people with multiple personality disorders have different handwritings.” Dr. Rather stated. “ There has been a study on it, handwriting changes for each personality.”
“ Is that possible? Wouldn’t we have clues to multiple personality before now.”
“ Maybe not. Maybe we’ve been looking at the wrong signs.”
“ I’m not buying this. The G.A is controlled meticulous in his nature about what he wants.” Linc stated. “ This isn’t some personality disorder or some other personality. This is a man who has real practice of hurting women, stalking them with infinite patience until he’s planned. He doesn’t jump the gun, every move is calculated.”
“ But that doesn’t preclude a different personality. Many of them are a different. Each with their own style, dress, and mode of operation.”
“ In all the cases we’ve had none of the serial killers had MPD.”
“ There is always the first time. We don’t know what kind of upbringing he’s had. We could be dealing with someone who was abused at a young age. Abused enough to create a personality.”
“ Making excuses for that sick bastard. My mommy made me do it.”
“ Not everyone sees black and white Linc. There are real people out there with real problems. We can’t simply just lock people up.”
“ That’s bull shit. You’ve seen what he’s done to the others, to Alicia and now what he wants to do to Brooke. But you defend his type.”
“ I’m not defending him. I’m simply stating a fact. MPD or not, there is something very wrong with him.”
Nothing a needle in the arm can’t cure.” Linc spat. Dr. Rather stated. “ We need more evidence, right now we can’t rule out MPD. If it is that, then we’ve got out work cut out for us. If this is the case then we could be dealing with a person who has no idea who or what the GA is doing. In essence this might be a sleeper. sure but we can’t rule it out.”
Linc looked at the doctor, he guts told him that MPD wasn’t the issue. He spend years studying this man. There was nothing to
Aimes looked at Linc. There was a point to Dr. Rather’s point. They had been trying to capture this man for years, but they hadn’t. The last time he disappeared, but was it that? He had gone off the grid for three years, but could it be that he had disappeared into a person who had no idea that this other side existed. Or was he a sick killer waiting and watching for another perfect victim. The entire situation was complicated beyond belief.
“ I want you to run specks on all the old evidence we have and see if we find anything that would support MPD.” James stated to the team. “ This man is out there and we need to find him.
“ I’m begin processing right away.” Yoko stated.
Linc was beyond pissed. He knew where this was heading. IF they were to catch the Son of a bitch he wouldn’t stand trail if this was simply a personality. He’d go to some asylum for a couple of years and be out. Linc wouldn’t settle. This was a man who delighted in what he did, enjoyed it. He savored it and waited. He was stalking Brooke. Taking his time and Linc damned if he was going to allow him to get to her.

Forrester Creations
Brooke and Sienna walked into her office. Brooke had a meeting with Eric and the two of them finished the review of the final sketches of new collection and run down the progress of the footwear line they were doing indebt studies, product mangers. If things went according to play, within two years they would consider branching off to a full accessories line including purses. Marquis was an amazing catch, he had designed not only footwear but women’s clothes and instinctively knew what looked great together. He had a love for not only shoes but purses and Brooke was excited to see where it could go. R&D had already slated that Brooke be the model for the first few ads of the line, she was visible and beautiful, the perfect image for the line, Brooke had reluctantly agree knowing it would be best for the company. Eric had seen the weariness in her eyes suggested that she take a break, he was so good to her, but she declined, they had too much work to do. Rick would be going back to Paris by the end of the week and Brooke had decided to throw him and Lily a surprised engagement party, she hired Liz Wright to plan the party. She had a three o’clock meeting with her to go over the plans. Sienna took the last of Brooke’s notes. “ I’ll have someone type them up and put them in your file, an electronic copy will be sent to you and Eric. Also, moved up your meeting with the photographer, Brio, she wants to meet with you to discuss the photo shoot for next week. ”
“ Oh…I forgot that is coming up. It’s for the footwear line.” She paused looking at Sienna. Thank…you really are efficient .”
“ I’ve had plenty of different jobs before I became an agent.”
“ Really?”
“ Yes. And believe me although you are busy, this isn’t so bad, you have a lot of help and Megan set up a great on-line schedule that gets updated.” Sienna used the time she had to run a program that would shoot all employee e-mails to a program that Jax, their resident computer techie had created, it was used to pick up key words and send e-mails directly to bureau. “I had a little brother and sister to take care of. My mom died when I was 16, so it up to me and them.”
“ Sounds like Stormy. Although I had my mom, he took care of us.”
“ He’s protective.”
“ You think.”
“ I didn’t see him this morning.”
Brooke poured herself a cup of coffee and offered one to Sienna.
“ He flew back to San Francisco for a case, he’ll be back in a couple of days. I told him, I’m fine, but you know brothers.”
“ Yes I do. My little brother is now an officer in the Navy. I’m older but he acts as if he’s the oldest.”
“ You should have seen Stormy when I decided I was old enough to date.”
“Then you added Linc to the equation, they were always intimidating guys who wanted me to go out with them.”
Sienna paused giving her an interested look. “ Linc?”
“ Yeah, he lived with us for around a year when he was 17.” This was news to Sienna. Brooke noted her surprised look. “ You didn’t know? He and Storm were impossible.” Brooke continued.
“What was he like at that age ?”
“ Bossy, arrogant, a know it all, he used to make me so sick. With that smug look of his.”
“ He still has that look you know. ”
“ Yes, I do.”
“ So, he was never really a kid, was he?”
“ He wasn’t.” Brooke paused speaking softly. “ Even at 17, ye had this maturity about him, a sense of danger. It scared me back then.”
“ See, back then I liked bad boys. He would have been up my alley.”
Brooke gave Sienna a look. Sienna looked at her with understanding. “ You did have a crush on him, didn’t you?”
Brooke nodded. It had been more than a crush. She didn’t like to think back to those days when she had been so young and so impressionable. In those days, she had fallen in love with her brother’s best friend only to have her hopes and dreams shattered.
“ Yeah…I did.” Brooke looked away. “ that was a long time ago…and nothing ever came from it. It was just a crush on my brother’s dangerous looking friend.
Sienna noted that Brooke seemed to be uncomfortable with the subject matter. “ Well, we’ve all been there. Maybe one day when this is all over, you and I can get a couple of drinks and share stories about love lives, okay.” She checked her watch and secured the system, turning the cameras off now she and Brooke were in the office. Brooke had asked that morning to the cameras cut off when she was in the room. Linc had disagreed, but finally agreed for specific people who had been cleared such as Eric, Ridge, Thorne and any of Brooke’s children. “ By the way, I want to take a sample of that face cream and have it analyzed.”
“ What cream?”
“ The one that Marquis gave you.”
Brooke paused. “ Why?
“ Because we need to get any gifts you receive.”
“From the G.A sure and besides, it’s not really a gift. He isn’t the GA.”
Sienna looked at Brooke. “ Brooke it’s procedure. You really shouldn’t take gifts from men you don’t know very well, even if you weren’t in danger.”
“ Believe me, Marquis isn’t interested in me.”
“ We aren’t sure. We can’t take chances. Everyone is a suspect.”
Brooke sighed. She scratched the side of he head as she collapsed in her chair.
“ He’s gay.”
Sienna looked at Brooke for a moment. “ What?”
“ Marquis is gay. He told me yesterday evening. So, he can’t possibly be the G.A.” Sienna wasn’t so sure.

The “Wright Party” Offices
Colleen Wright smiled as Brooke Logan Forrester walked into her office, the woman had always loved Brooke style and was dying for her crimson colored bag that made the fashion model even more stunning.
“ Brooke was I so glad to get your call.”
“ I’m so sorry Colleen that it’s last minute.”
“ It’s no problem. Anything for you, you know that.”
“Good.” Brooke put her purse down and sat down on Colleen’s expensive sofa. “ I want to plan a very intimate social event.”
Colleen nodded. “ Go on.”
“ There will only be a few guest, I’d like a string quartet, fabulous food, four course meal under the stars with the right color of flowers, silk linen, ice sculpture, the works.”
“ Ah…then I have the perfect place for you. Love is opening up a terrace room for intimate parties, a waterfall and under the stars it would be perfect for your upcoming wedding.”
Brooke was surprised. “ Wedding?”
Colleen smiled.“ Yes, aren’t you planning another wedding for you and Ridge.”
“ No.”
Colleen looked uncomfortable. “ Brooke, I’m sorry…I only assumed.”
“ This will be an engagement party for my son Rick and his fiancé Lily. Not a wedding for me.”
Colleen realized that she made huge mistake and wanted to rectify the situation. “ Love is still the perfect place for an engagement party, I apologize for the misunderstanding.”
“ You are forgiven. I guess people would only assume that I’d be getting married again. I’m assuring you that I’m not. The last thing on my mind is marriage.” Brooke spent the next hour going over the menu, the seating arrangement and a special gift that she wanted to give her son and Lily. Invitations were going to be rushed, matching the chocolate and burgundy color theme. It was going to be a special night for the family and after all that she had gone through, they really needed this. Love was a perfect place, very intimate and small. Brooke knew that most likely Linc would want to know all the ins and outs of the restaurant to keep her safe, so she explained that she had a new security chief to keep her safe after her attack. She explained to Colleen that this information was to remain private that they’d meet at Brooke’s house in the next two days to go over final plans. Brooke wasn’t worried Colleen was the ultimate party planner and would see that it would be a night to remember. Brooke walked out to the waiting limo, her new car service.
“ Where to Ms. Logan.”
Brooke sighed as she rested in the back of the car, her new driver was anything but that.
“ I’m going to the gym.”

Taylor’s Mansion
Taylor picked up a photo of her family. It was one they had taken when she and Ridge had remarried. That day seemed like a lifetime ago, if only she could go back. But then again, she wondered if things had been different. It had been a happy day for her, but she wondered for the first time what that particular day had been like for RJ, Hope and Brooke. She had been so wrapped up in her own wishes for her family she had never once thought about the other family that had suffered.
“ There you are.”
Taylor looked up to find Stephanie in the doorway to her sitting room. “ I’ve been calling you all day.”
“ I haven’t been answering the phone.”
“ I can see that.” Stephanie looked at her daughter in law. Taylor had circles under her eyes and was wearing nothing but a robe, worst yet her hair looked a mess.
“ Listen, I know that you are upset about Ridge’s announcement but you’ve got to fight. Fight for your husband.”
Taylor stood up. “ I don’t want to do this.”
Stephanie grabbed her. “ Yes you do. After all that I’ve gone through.”
“ You mean faking your death to get Ridge to marry me. You’ve done enough.”
Stephanie looked at Taylor. “ Don’t use that snippy tone with me. I’ve spent years looking out after your marriage, the least you could do was to be thankful.”
Taylor looked at Stephanie almost seeing her mother-in-law for the first time. “Now we’ve got to find a way to beat Brooke at her own game. No doubt she’s using her body and those kids to get what she wants.”
“ Those kids? Don’t you mean your grandchildren?”
Stephanie looked at Taylor. “ What are you getting at?”
“ You’ve gone through such a length to protect me, Thomas and the girls. But what about RJ and Hope. Didn’t they deserve a father?”
“ They have a father, they have Ridge.”
“ But…”
“ No buts….what the HELL has gotten into you. Are you feeling sorry for that whore? She’s taken your husband.”
“ Brooke isn’t a bad person.”
“ Oh my god.”
“ And she didn’t take my husband. I’m the one who ended it with Ridge.”
“ You did what?”
“ I’m tired of living like this. Living married but not connecting with my husband.”
“ Then change it. Do something. You are a woman with seductive powers of your own.”
“ Seduce him?”
“ Yes.”
“ Amazing…the very thing you accuse Brooke of doing you want me to do.”
“ He’s your husband. You can get him back if you just try.”
“ That’s the thing, I don’t want him back.”
“ What! Taylor, you’ve lost your mind.”
“ I don’t want to live with a husband who wants someone else.”
“ Taylor I don’t know what you think you are….” Stephanie’s phone started to ring. She looked annoyed. “ Pam, I don’t have time for this right….what….no….are you sure?” Stephanie’s face paled.
Taylor stilled looking at Stephanie. “ You’ve seen it, with your own eyes? No…send it to me.”
Stephanie looked down at her phone and pushed a button. She stilled looking down at the message her sister sent her. Her face turned bright red with anger.
Taylor was concerned. “ Stephanie what…”
“ You bitch!” Stephanie backhanded Taylor as hard as she could.
Taylor fell back into her settee stunned as she held her face stunned that Stephanie would do such a thing to her. “ What?”
“ How the world could you do this, degrade yourself like this. My god…you are nothing but a whore! And to think that I’ve done everything in my power to protect you and this is the thanks that I get, you whoring around on my son! I protected you through that debacle with James and believed that you simply made a mistake but NOT this. I won’t protect you after this! ”
Taylor stared at the video footage on Stephanie’s phone with horror in her eyes.

Rodeo Gym
Brooke lay prone for a moment before moving into downward facing dog. Brooke tighten her stance and her internal ab muscles putting pressure on her arms by holding her weight prone.
“ You know that is one hell of a dangerous position.”
A moment later she moved back down and turned her head to see the charming smile of Mark Snyder. Tall, good looking, amazing body and dark hair, the early 40’s news reporter was a staple at the Rodeo Gym. “I bet that is your favorite position, isn’t it?” She stated.
Something sparkled in his eyes. “ Wouldn’t you like to find out.” He whispered in a flirting manner.
He looked Brooke over slowly. Brooke shook her head, Mark was certainly a flirt but also a very nice man. The two had struck up a friendly relationship working out together. The divorcee father of two daughters who went to the same school as Steffy and Pheobe. Mark, whose wife had left him ironically for her own personal trainer who was 20 years old, now only saw his daughters from time to time now that his ex-wife, Sherri had moved to New York after, a bitter divorce which left her with multi-million dollar divorce settlement from him. Brooke and Mark worked out from time to time, he pushed her and she found to keep testing her limits with his encouragement. She had really gotten into running recently and was training for a matharthon. Not only did they have working out in common, they also talked about the love lost, although she knew he wasn’t doing do bad in the romance department by the way the twenty year olds flirted with him in and out of the gym. He was a very handsome man, physically fit, attractive, stylish and lots of money. But with her, he was different. Although he flirted Brooke knew that it was just his charm and he wasn’t really hitting on her. Which was good, because he kept the other men at the gym at bay.
“ So, when did you get back in the country?”
“ Yesterday.” He held out a hand to her and handed her a bottle of water to drink.
“ But you should know that.”
“ Why?” She questioned.
“ I was at your press conference yesterday.”
Brooke paused taking a sip of the cold water. “ You were?”
Mark was a leading shareholder for In Style magazine a world renowed fashion magazine and websites.
“ Yes, one of my reporters is doing a story on your new designer, Marquise Gregory and your new shoe collection and I wanted to see how it went. I heard about your press conference. I opted to be there. I think that you were a little busy to see me, especially handling Ridge.”
Brooke frowned. “ I don’t want to talk about him.”
“ I bet you don’t.” Brooke gave Mark a knowing look. “ Listen, I’m not about to be involved in whatever is going on.”
“ Nothing is going on.”
“ For now.”
Her eyes narrowed. “What does that mean?”
“ History has a way of repeating itself. It seems that Ridge has you on his radar.”
“Ridge doesn’t get everything he wants.”
Mark reached out and touched Brooke lightly on the side of her face. “ Good, no man should be allowed to hurt you and get away with it.” Mark smiled down at her while Brooke looked at his stunned at his comment.

Taylor’s Mansion
“ I can’t believe that you would do something like this!” Stephanie looked at her daughter-in-law with anger in her eyes.
“ I didn’t remember what happened. I tried to but I couldn’t.” Taylor was stunned at what she had seen. “ That video couldn’t be real.
“ It’s real alright. That’s you naked on your knees entertaining two men! My god…what the hell have you done?”
“ I don’t know.” Taylor was stunned the video was horrific, not only did her show her having sex but with two men at the same time. She wanted to throw up. What she had seen and been a woman delighting in a sexual act. That woman wasn’t her, it could be. Whoever took the video did something that the men’s faces were blocked out. It was a horrific sight seeing her depicted in such a manner. “ I wouldn’t do that, that wasn’t me. I’m not that kind of woman.”
“ I can clearly see what kind of woman you are from the video.”
“ No matter how drunk I was, I’d never do that. Not with those men.”
“ I don’t want to hear your pitiful excuses. Do you know what you’ve done to the reputation to my family. To my reputation!” Stephanie’s hands clenched into fist.
“ I didn’t mean….”
“ You’ve done much more damage than that whore Brooke ever did! Why! Why in the hell did you do such a thing!”
“ I don’t remember what happened….but believe me, I wouldn’t have done that, someone must have drugged me or something.” She saw the anger in Stephanie’s eyes. “ You’ve got to believe me.”
“ No. I don’t.” Stephanie looked at the woman she backed, her own personal choice for Ridge. “ There has only been one woman with the beauty, dignity and grace for my son and she died. I tried to make you into the type of woman that I thought you were, the type of woman that Caroline was. She should have been the woman to be Ridge’s wife, the mother of his children, but she died and I tried to make you into what she was, but I was wrong. I was so wrong about you. I spent years protecting you, looking out for you, covering up your sins and for what….for you to act like a two dollar whore! My god…even Brooke has more class than you do. I may not like the bitch but she brought money to my company and when she was married to Ridge there were no scandals, not like this! What kind of woman are you?”
Taylor was stunned by the hatred she saw in her friend.“ Stephanie…what are you saying.”
“ My son and our family would have been better off if you had stayed dead.”
Taylor stood shocked that the woman she had loved like a mother talked to her. “ Whatever feelings that I had for you are over. I won’t protect you Taylor not after this.” Stephanie picked up her purse and walked out the door leaving Taylor stunned by what had just transpired.

Forrester Creations
Brooke was finishing off her late lunch, a seafood salad wrap and iced tea when Sienna came into the office. “There is someone here to see you.”
“ Who?”
“ A Whipple Jones.”
Brooke dropped her linen napkin and smiled. “Whip’s here, please send him in.”
Sienna who knew that this was one of Brooke’s ex-husband nodded. Brooke wiped her mouth and finished was in the process of fixing her lipstick when the handsome VP of Promotion for International Forrester walked into her office.
“ Whip.”
“ Brooke…” He came forward looking at her for a moment before hugging her. “ You look amazing.”
“ As do you.” She fingered his 300 dollar tie. “ I see that Paris as done amazing things for you.”
“ Hey, I try. The city of lights.”
“ And the city of beautiful women.”
Whip laughed. “ Yes, I’ve noticed them from time to time.”
Brooke sat down next to him. “ So, what brings you here in the states. A visit with your mother?”
“ Yes and no. I’m going to see my mother.”
“ How is she?”
“ Doing well, thank you.” He made mention of the brand new home that his mother moved into at plush retirement community that Brooke had pulled strings to get her into.
“ It was nothing. I know how much you would have worried about her leaving her.”
“ Paris isn’t my mother’s type of city.”
“ But you are doing well very well from what I hear. But I’m not surprised.”
“Thank you.” Whip was touched. He looked at Brooke even with all that she had gone through she still looked amazing in the crimson and gold dress and if he were to tell the truth he’d be honest about still having a tiny bit of a crush on her. “ Brooke, my life has really changed. Not just the job or the change of cities but everything. I’ve fallen in love and gotten engaged.”
Brooke smiled. “ You have, oh Whip that wonderful. Tell me about her.”
“ I will.” He paused for a moment. He really didn’t want to do this to cause her more than yet what choice did her really have. “Brooke, the reason that I’m here is to see you.”
Brooke looked a Whip. “What is it, is there something wrong?”
He paused for a moment. “ Brooke, you know how much I care about you.”
“ I know, you’ve done so much for me I can never forget it.”
Whip stood. “ I didn’t plan to fall in love but I did and my fiancée is so amazing. She’s beautiful, sexy, a little fireball.”
“ That seems like the perfect woman for you.”
“ I want a good life with her, one built on honestly.”
Brooke paused. “ I can understand that.”
“ So you have to understand that I wasn’t trying to break an confidences that I made to you, only I was trying to be honest with the woman that I loved.” Whip turned to face Brooke. “ I felt like I had to tell her the truth.”
‘ The truth?”
“ About Hope. I told her that Hope wasn’t really my daughter.”
“ I see.” Brooke was a little stunned but maybe not totally surprised. She had allowed Whip to protect her but to what extent? Was it fair for him to lie to the woman he was going to marry.
“ Brooke I know that I should have asked you but…”
“ No, I understand.” She said sighing. “ I couldn’t expect you to keep this secret forever.”
Whip looked at Brooke and then a picture of she and Hope on her desk. “ She’s so beautiful.”
Brooke smiled. “ Yes, she is.”
“ You know, I wish she could have been mine.”
Brooke nodded at the sentiment. “ You were always sweet and so protective.”
“ She’s happy?”
Brooke nodded. “ We went through a rough patch when Ridge and split, she thinks of him as her father.”
“ Sorry to hear about that. He’s a fool.” Brooke smiled. “ Does she know….about Deacon?”
“Being her biological father?” Whip nodded. “Yes. I never wanted to confuse Hope, she knows.”
“Good. Good.” Whip paused and picked up a photo of Brooke and RJ. “ Cute little boy.”
“ My little prince. He and Hope are the joy in my life.”
“ Brooke you have a wonderful family, the children are obvisily happy with you. I don’t want to do anything to destroy the stable life you’ve created for them.”
“ You won’t. Whip, I can understand the need to tell your future wife that Hope isn’t your daughter. There would have been too many questions about why she doesn’t visit. Believe me, the last thing that I want to do is the cause you problems in you inpending marriage.”
Whip looked at Brooke for a moment. “ That’s just it. Brooke she wasn’t so much upset at me as she was at you. She thinks that you’ve used me.”
“ Oh…” Brooke wasn’t sure what to say about that particular announcement.
“ In fact, she has demanded that I tell the world the entire truth. It’s one of the condition that Electra has made for us to continue with our marriage plans.”
Brooke paused. “Electra? Electra Langstrum, the model.”
“ Yes.”
Brooke turned pale at the mention of her name. “ Oh god.”
“ What’s wrong.”
“ Electra Langstrum worked for us around three years ago.”
“ I know.”
“ What you don’t know is that we had to settle with her out of court to make her leave International. She’s dated Rick, became almost obsessed with being his wife. She took things badly when he broke it off. She claimed that he sexually harassed her, he didn’t but we didn’t want the bad publicity. So we settled out of court.”
Whip looked stunned, he hadn’t expected this nor had he heard this story. “ I knew she dated Rick briefly but I didn’t think that it was serious.”
“ In her mind it was. She was very angry with him and with us for what happened. Now, she has a way to make us pay but telling the world about Hope.”
“ Brooke, she isn’t like that. It’s not about that. It’s about she and I and our life.”
“ You don’t know her…”
“ No, Brooke, you don’t know her. I love this woman.” He said sternly. “ We are going to have a life together.” Whip shook his head. “ She’s not doing this out of revenge against some slight against you. Believe me I’d know if she was. She just wants there to be the truth and I can’t blame her.”
Brooke wanted to tell Whip that he was wrong, but she stopped. This was the woman he loved, nothing was going to change his mind and nothing was going the stop Electra. “How much time do I have?” She asked quietly.
Whip looked at Brooke. “ I told her that you needed time to get your affairs in order.”
“ Alright. How much time?”
“ A week or so.”
Brooke nodded. “Thank you.”
Whip looked sadly at Brooke. “ I am sorry. You must believe that I nor Electra mean you no harm.”
“ I know that you care about me. You kept my secret, protected and never asked for anything. I know that you mean me no harm.”
“ Electra doesn’t either.”
Brooke smiled sadly. She knew the truth. “ Don’t worry Whip. I’ll get prepared for your official announcement.”
“ Brooke, I am sorry.”
She looked at him sadly, he deserved so much better than Electra. “ I know that you are.”
“Are we still friends?”
She nodded. “ Yes .I could never be mad at you. I appreciate everything you’ve done to protect me. I’ll forget it. Thanks again for the heads up.”
Whip looked at Brooke, he didn’t want to do this but he loved Electra and owed it to her to tell the truth.
He kissed Brooke on the cheek. “ I promise I’ll find a way to be tactful about the entire situation. I won’t mention Deacon, only that I am not the biological father of Hope. Maybe…”
“ Maybe what?”
“ Listen, you and Thorne had just broken up, maybe he could.”
“ No.”
“ I’m not going to do that to him or Darla. This is my mess, I’ll clean it up.”
“ Again, I am sorry.”
“ It’s okay.” Brooke smiled softly. “Keep in touch okay. You’ve done great things at International, I don’t want that to change.” He nodded and kissed her lightly on the cheek. Brooke watched as Whip slowly slipped out of the office. She stood there for a moment, before she went to her I-Phone and got a list for a name. She then pressed the call button. The phone rang for a couple of times before there was an answer.
“ Hello.”
“ Hello Electra.”
“ Brooke, I was wondering how long it was before you were going to call me. I assume that you’ve just seen my handsome fiancée Whipple.”
“ Cut the crap Electra. What the hell do you want?”
“ To keep your secret and keep the world from knowing that Hope is the bastard daughter of your son-in-law, well Brooke that is going to cost you. It’s going to cost you a lot.”

Brooke hung up the phone from her conversation with Electra. The model had made major demands and she wasn’t sure how she was going to deal with them. She could pay her off but then she knew that she’d be paying and paying again. Whip had no idea the type of woman he was getting ready to marry but she did. She picked up the phone and made another phone call. “ Yes, this is Brooke, we need to talk now. I need some advice.”

Oh please Ick doesn't make Bridget happy. Never has. Never will.
He's slime and always will be slime.
How much longer is that vomit fest going to continue? How much longer is Bridget going to continue to lie to herself about that scuzbag who IS HER UNCLE.
Electra sounds like a real bitch. Almost like that bitch Erica who wanted Amber's life and Caitlin who also wanted Amber's life.
I hate Taylor and usually think she deserves everything that comes her way but that video is just vile and wrong and for a creature to do that to another person is just beyond horrific.
I don't like Rick's attitude about Ridge of course on the show I'm not thrilled with Rick and I no longer like him but he's still being an ass.
I understand what Brooke is saying about Ridge but at the same time
she could also do a better job of NOT allowing anyone to rip him away.
Tell Stephanie to go to hell and Taylor to go to hell and take a cue from Donna and make THEIR lives hell.
I can't help it. I want Bridge together however I'm willing to see if Linc changes his attitude and stops being a jerk to Brooke. I would hope so. Going undercover as Brooke's new man is very interesting. Maybe he'll stop being a jerk to her. That would be nice. I would like to see how you write them together.
Those girls at Steffy's school should grow up. You don't revel in other people's suffering. That's wrong. They are old enough to know better than that. There's no excuse in the world for their behavior.
Stephanie saying what she did to Taylor was astounding. You would think she would blame the whole thing on Brooke personally. I'm shocked.

Deacon: Admit it. Don't you wonder every day what it would be like if I hadn't messed things up? You tell me right here, right now that you don't think about what it would be like for us to be in love now the way we were? Bridget, with you believing in me, there's nothing I can't do.

Missy, another absolutely amazing chapter! Thank you - this is one of my favorite stories (as brutal as parts of it are). You have my heart breaking for Steffie, Phoebe, and Taylor. I can't imagine what this will do to the three of them and the girls' deteriorating relationship with their mother. I have the feeling the only ones who will stand by Taylor through this horror are James and Brooke.

Stephanie's remarks are just what I would expect - I always felt she was trying to make Taylor into Caroline.

Please do not let Marquis be the GA. Hey, maybe it's his stepfather who never really died? Just not Marquis, okay?

I am loving Linc, but he needs to be more open to others' ideas. First of all, he needs to consider whatever may increase their understanding of the GA and if it is multiple personalities, he needs to explore that. Secondly, he may be the most obvious person to serve as Brooke's new love interest, but he might be too close to the situation personally. And that could be dangerous for both of them. I vote he just lets Ridge buy it.

The story of how Rick and Lily fell in love was touching. I would most definitely fall for a man who could help those in need.

More later, but thanks again!

Missy you never fail to amaze me. . .this was an excellent chapter - don't keep us hanging too long this time!

I wonder about Brooke's sometime workout partner. . . hmmm. . .
And Electra - poor Whip, obviously he is using the wrong head when it comes to her. She'd better watch it - the GA might get her for hurting Brooke. . .
On the show, of course, I want bridge - but here - I think Brooke & Linc are perfect for each other. I hope Ridge stays away on business for a couple of chapters, then when he returns he is refreshed & mature, and will be there for Brooke & Taylor both.
Stephanie - what a bitch. No matter what Taylor didn't deserve that. I don't like Taylor, but no woman deserves to be drugged & abused (& in this case, that is putting it mildly).
Rick & Lily - how sweet & wonderful. Bridget & Nick - I always thought they were good for each other the first time they married. But it is Deacon & Bridget that have the passion.
Thanks again! ;-)

WOW Missy! What a holiday treat! This is such a great story, and and excellent chapter! You really packed this one with excitement!!

Poor Taylor, seeing herself like that, and knowing that she would have NEVER done anything like that, and the way Stephanie treated her. I hope she will be able to stay strong for her daughters, though, and not go back to drinking!

I didn't really like Linc in this chapter. He still only wants to do things his way. And I'm not so sure now that he'd be any good for Brooke. And his little charade of wanting to play house with her might really blow up in his face.

You still have me wondering about Marquis. Is it him, or isn't it? What, with the MPD and all, you're really good at keeping me guessing Missy :D

I loved all the interactions at Brooke's hous before she went to work. It all seemed very peaceful, and playful. And everybody really loves each other. And Taylor is really lucky Brooke is such a fair and loving person.

I loved how Bridget has noticed that Deacon is very hot, and very grown up and matured ;) I'm sure Nick won't like that one bit.

I hope you'll have a wonderful New Year filled with Joy, Happiness, Good Health and Success!

Hugs,

Lexxie

I know this is bad to say but can the GA pay a little visit to Stephanie.

Linc better learn that he is not always right and to listen to other people. Or someone is going to get hurt because of him. More when you can.

I'm sorry that it's taken me months to respond. I got busy after I posted this chapter and it wasn't until I was on the boards today that I realized that I hadn't responded to the comments. I'm sorry.

Bridget has finally gotten what she "thinks" she wants and she truly believes that it's Nick. But we all know that there is a huge part of her connected and still attracted to Deacon as was seen when they were in the beach house. Don't expect Bridget to just "throw" away her marriage though. She's made a committment and she plans to stand by it at all cost.

Electra is a dangerous scorned woman. She wanted Rick, she didn't get him. But now she's found a way to get back at him through Whipple. She's beautiful, cunning and coniving. I keep seeing her as the woman who play Vienna on ATWT. Beauty and boldness. She now has what it takes to make the Forrester "pay" and she plans for the payoff to be a huge one.

You have to remember when this story takes place. This happens AFTER Brooke and her children are kicked out of their home and Ridge chose "Taylor" and the deathbed marriage. Why in the world should Brooke be protecting Ridge? Why shouldn't Rick dislike the man who has made his mother suffer needlessly? ( I'm a Bridge fan and I can clearly see why Rick, Storm and others feel the way that they do about Ridge.) Ridge has no rights to decide that he's "changed" his mind and now wants back in. Brooke is no toy and neither are the children. The truth is Ridge's waffeling has not only hurt Hope and RJ but the twins as well.

Sorry Logan but Bridge will NOT be together in this story. Right now Linc is going to go undercover as Brooke's "new man" and it very well could lead to them reconnecting. There is history there. There was once a great deal of love, maybe that can be rekindled under the "right" circumstances.

Those teenagers and bitches and working in the school system, I know how trashy and mean that girls can be to each other. Steffy and Pheobe shouldn't have to deal with this, but they are. They are going to suffer right along with their mother with this horrific scandal.

Stephanie has always and will always be a "user". She used Taylor and now that Taylor pristine reputation is tarnished she's going to withdraw her protection. Taylor has a major enemy now in Stephanie with only Brooke and James on her side. One a personal note, it's going to be hard for me to write Brooke "protecting" Taylor since I really can't stand what Stephanie and Taylor have done to Brooke on the real show. Alas, the story MUST go on. I'll find some way around it. LOL

Missy I'm not surprised by Bridget. She has no brain anymore. She's a brainless moron who I want to smack the crap out of.

I know there is no Bridge and I know this takes place after all that
but Rick is still an ass. I just would like Linc to not be so arrogant.
I'm just sick of everyone going around saying this and that about Ridge when they aren't so damn perfect either.
I curious to see how this plays out wtih Linc and Brooke and him going undercover as her "man". I'm pretty sure GA is not going to like that.
