Janice,
Another Grinch. I'm so sad. I guess it really is only me and Cassandra who can try and block out some of the EVIL things Brad had Ridge do. See there, it's not Ridge's fault, it's Brad's. Come on all you Grinches BLAME Brad!!!
I'm thrilled I was able to fulfill your wish and give you back Ric and Bridget, but in a way you never expected.
Thanks for hanging in there with me,
Yash

JRTLLF01,
I'm glad you enjoyed the final chapter and the story. I'm over the hill, I was able to shock you with the return of the dead and the death of the most evil one.
Yeah, what if Mass' body floats to the top? And my thoughts also run along the lines of what will Stefan, Ridge, and Nick discover as Stefan helps them sort through Mass' businesses? Were Ric's and Bridget's kidnappings and "deaths" only the tip of the iceburg? Does Stephanie really stay gone? How does the rest of the family deal with watching a murder take place right before their eyes? How will this change their view of Ric? Or of Ridge as he stepped up to the plate and handled business in a way that they had never seen before?
And of course what about Ric and Bridget? They are coming back to a life they've only dreamed about. Their parents are back together. They have new siblings. Ric's son is now his brother. Would they be able to trust this new family, trust Ridge not to screw everything up? And what about the missing years? They know they were gone, but there are no memories where they should be about what they were doing while they were gone. How do you function when a chunk of your life is missing? When everything you know is changed?
And finally Brooke coping with 9 children, trying to give them all they need and being there for her husband as he reels from the knowledge of exactly everything Mass and possibly Stephanie were up to? Okay, so those are my thoughts about the sequel. Kinda thought out, huh?
I like to make my Ridge a man who is growing, instead of the child they make him on the show. Never responsible for his actions, everyone always forgiving instantly like the spoiled rotten child he is. I'm selective on the parts of him I take from the show or otherwise every story I write would start with him dying. ( Yes, you Grinches I know this would make you thrilled, but it's not going to happen.)
Christmas is coming,
Yash

Ahh, Yash, I would like to blame all Ridge's behavior on Bell (and in a way I do). But if I sincerely did that I would also have to blame all of Steph's, Bridget's, Taylor's, Massimo's, (and the beat goes on) on Bell, too. I can't excuse one and not the others.
I have always held Brooke responsible for her behavior even while being angry with Brad for assassinating her character so I hold Ridge responsible. And I am sorry to tell you Ridge fans, but I think Brooke's thing with Deacon was far more out of character for her than Ridge's fling with Bridget was for him. I honestly cringe whenever the man is around Hope or his own twins anymore. (Well, if I still watched the show I would cringe.)
The only way I could enjoy Ridge anymore is with a recast and turning him into a true "silver-tongued devil", not a hero. Frankly, I don't think Ronn Moss has the acting chops to do it. As others have said on other boards, I would like to see Grant Aleksander (?), Phillip from Guiding Light, turn Ridge into a nasty, yet delectable, villain.

Janice,
Ok you got me with the Bell thing. And you're so right Brooke is responsible for her actions too. Yes, Brooke sleeping with Deacon was definitely her all time low. It was very out of character for a woman who loved her children above all else.
I have to disagree with you Ridge even thinking about getting romantic with a girl who called him dad for 6 years whom he delivered is the creepiest thing I've seen on daytime, next to Passions' storyline of Whitney having a baby for her half-brother. I'm still waiting for the reveal that Chad isn't Eve and Julian's son.
Oh, I really like the idea of Grant playing Ridge. I miss him on Guiding Light. Ah, Philip. Where's Lujack? They could bring the cousins back.

Oh Yash, I guess I wasn't clear. I thinking Ridge swapping spit with Bridget was by far the worst thing he's ever done. It's just that I had already had it with him before that happened. That act switched me from "I don't like him, but for the story I will tolerate him with Brooke" to "I don't want him near Brooke or any decent woman for that matter."
And I do think Grant Aleksander would do an evil Ridge so well.
