Another wonderful chapter, Janice. I'm just loving your Deacon.
The responses of all the women seemed very true to life to me. I'm glad you shared Deacon's thought that Brooke would have been the woman for him if things had been different ;D
So much packed into one chapter, it's hard to know where to start. So Nick beat the living daylights out of Ridge? Good for him! Shame that he's now in hiding though.
Will be interested to learn more about Whip's daughter Amelie and her mother (who doesn't seem to be in the picture?)
I love what you've done with Jackie & Eric - not to mention Donna & Justin. And Owen of course - I've got my fingers crossed that it's not the bunny hugger that he's ended up married to and having twins with though. I can't stand how the current storyline is playing out. The wrong twin definitely died, IMNSHO.
Hmnnn, who is the dark haired beauty? I have my suspicions but you've left us with a very interesting cliffhanger.
Great job!!!
Can't wait for the next chapter.

Thanks, Jill.
I always felt that some Brooke fans were unfair to Deacon by blaming him more than her for their affair. But the mistakes are in the past and will remain there, except for improving a father-daughter relationship.
I really think this is how the women would have reacted, even Bridget if she truly acted like Brooke's and Eric's daughter and not the sanctimonious little twit she is on the current show. And I have no doubt that in a different world, Deacon would have continued to pursue Brooke (and won her heart). That's what I saw when he stayed with Bridget for her sake and tried to make her see she deserved better than Ridge.
Nick won't be charged with any crime as Ridge would have to answer for his own in tampering with paternity tests if he did. But, he is hurt and confused and disgusted with himself for the beating. (We all know Ridge deserves it for a myriad of reasons, but that is not the first image Nick wanted to give his new-found son.) Bridget is right - he won't be away from his sons for too long.
Amelie's mother is long gone, but it will be explained. Don't worry - Owen is not saddled with "Little Taylor" AKA Steffy.
The dark haired beauty won't be a mystery for long.
Do you like what I've done with Stephanie?

Ah yes, Stephanie. One can only imagine her seething inside her mind about Jackie and Eric's marriage and so many other 'injustices' yet being unable to express her poisonous thoughts - a delicious revenge for her years of heaping insults on everyone. Poetic justice ... I love it
