;D Bravo, another stunning chapter and a very nice new year surprise it was. I was worried that the story would go the way of some of my other favorite stories. It's no secret that I enjoy all your Bridge stories. I can say however that I would have enjoyed it even with whip as the love interest. I'm enjoying the side pairing of amber and rick. Not a couple i really think of most of the time but they work in the setting you've given them. Can't wait for the show down with Stephanie. Hope Ridge can man up for a change and not let the old battle ax railroad him like she normally does. Hope for a new installment soon.  |

I'm trying to say on top of it. I'm going to eventually get back to my other ones. I want to finish up Second Chance. I may rewrite some things for After The Rain, I'm not sure yet. And one of these days I'm going to get another chapter of Foolish Beat written. I haven't forgotten about any of these stories. I will get back to them.
As for this story, I wanted to have both of Brooke's children and their spouses be supportive of Brooke. I wanted them to finally realize they are all family and should act like it. I've always wanted (and I believe AF even said this once in an interview) Brooke and Amber to be friends. Get along. Not have any of that bitterness and hatred. Brooke would want a good relationship with Amber. Not have one like she had with Stephers all those years. Amber's admiration for Stephers is fading fast. While she doesn't know exactly what happened between Ridge and Brooke in Paris, she knows that Brooke was heartbroken and she knows that it was because of Stepher's interference. She knows about the whole Paris Plot and it made her think twice about the kind of person Stephers is.
I've also wanted Rick to get along with Deacon. Recognize that Bridget loves him and that Deacon loves her a great deal. I've wanted him to come to grips with the fact that Deacon IS Little Eric's biological father and has the right to be in his life. I always thought that there was no reason that Ramber and Beacon couldn't both be parents to that little boy.
Ridge is finally going for what he wants. A life with Brooke. He's determined to have it. He knows that leaving Brooke after Paris was one of the worst mistakes he ever made. He regrets it and he wants to make it right again. Brooke is trusting him and he knows that he can't screw it up. One wrong thing and Brooke will be lost to him forever. He knows he could have easily lost her to Whip. He doesn't want to loose her ever again.
As for Whip---I wouldn't count him out just yet. There could still be some love in store for him. The question is--with who?
