Very interesting concept and very interesting start. I like seeing Brooke have her eyes opened to the pain that the Forresters have all caused her throughout the years. Both Bridget and Connor have said things to make her question her choices. As you may or may not know, I am not a Forrester fan at all anymore. I've never been a Beric fan or a Throoke fan, though once upon a time I loved Bridge. Now I'd like nothing better than for Brooke to be free from them. I don't know where you are heading but it seems she is at least going to call out Thorne on his actions. I loved the description of the clothing and especially the shoes LOL! As for Ridge and Taylor, I was glad to see you making Ridge take some responsibility for his child. I also love that Eric isn't buying into the so called email excuse. This has so much promise. I will eagerly await the next installment! Welcome to the board!

Thank you for reading and for your comments. Brooke is definitely going to be remembering the pain of not only the last year, but the last several years. In my story, Venice is not forgotten, and as you can see, Brooke still has protocols in place for limiting her contact with the Forresters. She has also not forgotten the Big Bear incident with Stephanie or Macy's attempt on her life.
Brooke is going to confront Thorne, and she is going to make it clear to him that while she can forgive, she is not ready to forget. It will be interesting to see if Thorne gets to follow through on his plans for the evening. This Brooke will not be, as Connor said, a wimp.
Thanks again for your comments.

Very good start, christine. I am looking forward to hearing just what Brooke is going to tell Thorne. I so agreed with Donna and Connor's opinion of Thorne and I am happy to see it gave Brooke pause.
Ridge is as oblivious as ever, and Taylor still comes off like a cold hearted bitch. I foresee a lot of trouble in the future for Ridge and Taylor as he becomes more involved with his son.
Loved the chapter and I am looking forward to more.

I am glad that you liked the story. Brooke is going to be giving Thorne an earful. Since he is planning on setting a wedding date, he might not be too receptive.
As for Ridge and Taylor, things have definitely passed the point-of-no return for them. Much trouble is ahead.
Thanks again for your comments.

Christine, first--welcome to the Fan Fiction Board! I thoroughly enjoyed your first offering and am intrigued to see how this all plays out. Like others, Venice hasn't been forgotten by me and it's still beyond my comprehension today that Brooke would want anything to do with the Forresters after what happened in Venice. I know that Brooke has to face some harsh realities, but I sincerely hope she doesn't ignore what Connor and Donna had to say. How embarassing that Thorne broke off the engagement WHEN he married Macy--as opposed to before. If that isn't an eye-opener, I don't know what else would be at this point. I was a huge Throoke (albeit, reluctant) fan until the rebound wedding between Macy and Thorne. When that happened, the magic was ruined for me. And, thank you! Thank you! Thank you for addressing that car crash--another of those things that slipped under B&B's inconsistent radar. Given what Connor has said, how could Brooke even contemplate marrying Thorne especially if his wife is still alive? It will be very interesting to see how this legal situation plays out and how Brooke handles her evening with Thorne. I'm going to cut Tridge some slack because no one can predict how they would act in this situation. The thing that shocks me though is that Ridge is not only allowed back in the house, but that he and Taylor are still sharing a bed. Morgan's accident and her screaming allegation that Taylor pushed her is yet another loose end that B&B never bothered to follow up on. And, thanks for your realistic handling of how such a scandal would be fodder for the rags. It's amazing how Brooke can't even breathe without it being a scandal, but Ridge--a member of Fashion's "Family of the Year," can knock up his ex-girlfriend and no one notices. Thank you for a really great chapter and I very much look forward to reading more!

Thank you for reading and for your kind comments.
Venice and the Midge baby were two stories that should have changed the course of the show and were sadly swept under the rug. I can't believe that Brooke ever gave Eric or Ridge the time of day, let alone married them. It is simply incomprehensible to me as well. When given the opportunity, the Forresters will always sell Brooke down the river, and she continues to forgive. Not the Brooke in my story.
As for Tridge, the revelation that Morgan gave birth to Ridge's son is so new to Taylor that she is still processing it. She does devise a plan, and it involves asking for Brooke's help. Reality will eventually set in for Taylor, and it won't be pretty. As for Ridge, he truly thinks that Morgan duped him, so he actually feels that he is an injured party as well.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment.

To make this a Throoke story, I would have to go further back and erase the Venice fiasco which officially ruined the pairing for me.
Thanks for reading.

One upon a time, I was a Bridge fan then turn into a Throoke fan. They look so good together especially both being blond and with Brooke's trendy short hair. Then BBell had to destroy my couple to make way for another B/T/R triangle which stinks big time. Later the Breacon fiasco came and hit Brooke into a another new low level.
So here I would like to see her free from all the Forresters men cause, personally I think, they stink. Maybe you can introduce a new man for Brooke (hint Nick). Someone who loves and supports Brooke for who she is and wants nothing in return.
Thanks for posting your story here, Christine. Looking forward to a new part.

If you noticed, Brooke does have a meeting with Jackie soon, so maybe you will get your wish.
