So I am still to wait for the paternity reveal??? How much longerrrrrr? ? Ridge grows increasingly self-centred. The least you can do is make him gain weight from Mass' chef. Ridge would not deal with a middle-aged spread. How close is Steph to Mass? Does she know about the kidnap? Is Jazzie lying? Can't wait for the next instalment Thanks barbara

Janice,
Great chapter! I'm dying to know the outcome of the paternity test. Please don't make Ridge Hope's father!! It's bad enough he has rights to Taylor's children. If he is Hope's father send him away to prison soon!!
You are doing a great job of tying in the younger generation! I actually care about these characters. BBell does a terrible job and should take a few pointers from these FanFics.
Ridge is CREEPY! I think that Stephanie knows more than what she is saying. She probably showed up at the hospital to get an idea as to what Bridgette remembers. She's probably just trying to cover Massismo's butt (and her own).
I can't wait for Part II!

Barbara, I promise you that your wait for the paternity reveal is almost over. However, in this instance, I may just borrow a page from Bell and say nothing is ever over.
Oh, Ridge will continue to have his problems in many arenas. Right now, he is overconfident and smug. We know what happens to characters who act like that. (Well, in a good soap. Ridge never loses in Bell's soap.) Middle aged spread? That's a thought. And so is having the adoring little Grace cast her eyes in another direction. But, we shall see.
Steph has her suspicions, but she is not in on it. And she definitely has no clue about his true reasons. That doesn't mean she would disapprove of the kidnap or cease to protect him and her lovebaby.
You'll have to wait and see about Jazzie, but she is not evil. She, at least, believes that she loves Tom and is better for him. I won't detail Tom's whole personality now; but I can assure you that he saw his father play his mother and Brooke for too long. He doesn't want to emulate his father.
Thanks for your comments. I hope you like the next installment.

Thanks for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. As I told Barbara, paternity will be revealed very soon. But that may not be the end of it. Thanks for your comments about the younger generation. I've always felt that Bell treated the younger characters either like babies or like mirror images of the adults. I'm old myself, but am trying to remember what it was like for me at those stages of my life. I think the college experience will continue to be an important part of Tom's and Bridget's lives. And in the coming chapters, you will get my take on Tom's involvement with Amber which is very different than the show. I can tell you that Stephanie was not in on Massimo's plan, but she suspects and would probably support it. (Only for the disruption in Brooke's life however. Even my Stephanie would never approve a marriage between Ridge and Bridget.) Ridge will continue to become creepier. On the show, I found him most believable when he was evil and that's how he will play out here. As with all continuing soap villains, he will have some triumphs and defeats; but in my story evil will not ultimately win over good.

:-*I've been enjoying the story. definitely better than the 'real' stories happening on B&B now. Waiting patiently...okay okay not so patiently for the next installment. Maybe Ridge's hair could start falling out (painfully)due to some sort of disease or something.

Great chapter Janice! I'm starting to think from your comments that there may be some type of comparison with Thomas/Jazzie/Danica to Ridge/Brooke/Taylor. You definately have made the youngins more interesting. I'm wondering what happens next with them. I am still really liking Taylor with Donovan. Ridge is still an evil perv. I really love how you write for him. He's really much more interesting as an evil perv than the bumbling waffleman. Do feel bad for poor Grace though. I wonder who could possibly turn her head? I too am dying for the paternity reveal even though it sounds like this won't be the last we here on the subject. Gee now I'm starting to feel like a slacker..

I too am dying for the paternity reveal even though it sounds like this won't be the last we here on the subject. Gee now I'm starting to feel like a slacker.. Thanks, FB. It took me over a month to get this chapter out and I still have the second part to do. It's hard to work on it when the show is so very ridiculous and upsetting. I'm anxious for your next chapter, but I know what it's like trying to do it. There may be some resemblance in the Tom/Jazzie/Danica triangle to his father's. But i hope everyone will see mine as more well-rounded - no one is going to be painted as evil or saintly, just three emotional young people. And Tom really does not want to follow in his father's footsteps - he hates the way Ridge played with hearts for years. Something will happen soon that will really throw him for a loop. (Don't worry - in my story even young people understand how preganancy happens and the danger of STDs.) Taylor and Donovan are ready to take their relationship to the next level once she's divorced, but both will be cautious about upsetting her kids. Even though I hated him for betraying Brooke, Ridge was only interesting to me when he was trying to steal Forrester from her. And I love your Ridge, too. When Rick confronts him, please keep Rick somewhat safe. I hope you like the second part of the chapter when I post it.
