Brooke is sure one confused gal. First she doesn't want a relationship but she can't stop thinking about Brandon. Then she spends more time with Gavin and gets an itch that only he can scratch. And does this mean she still doesn't want a relationship? I'm all for her having fun but it's hard if she is sexually into two guys. Now I know that at this point she isn't there with Brandon at all, but she was writing his name like a Jr. High girl with hearts and flowers. I know she and Gavin HAVE gone there before so I know why she might want another taste. But I can't see her doing that and then still wanting Brandon. Hmmmmm. So many choices.
So we're still no closer to finding out about Hope. Yeah, yeah, I know, there hasn't been enough time, but I'm impatient you know.
I loved Donovan and Taylor. They're hot and cute and she really needs to dump Ridge.
And speaking of Ridge. What an arrogant asshole he is. I hope that opened everyone's eyes a little bit more.
Kristen and Felicia were funny but I don't think it will stop Stephanie from trying to take over their lives. And who would have thought that wimpy old Thorne would have the balls not to show up for his command performance. Even hung over Harry made it LOL!
I can't wait for what is to come! Any clue when we'll get it? Not that I have a right to ask LOL!

She had convinced herself that the hot fling with Gavin was the result of being in Paris, but she's beginning to have second thoughts. You will see more of that in the next chapter, Dot. She likes both men, is attracted to them, and senses that they both value her. She never got that with Ridge and it's a pretty intoxicating feeling for her. Brandon likes and is infatuated with her. Gavin fell hard in Paris, tried to convince himself it was a carefree fling, and realized he was in love. One hint about the next chapter, both Gavin and Brooke will be relieved that Megan interrupted them. Something about Hope's paternity will happen in the next chapter, but it won't be resolved for a bit. I'm having a lot of fun with Donovan and Taylor. This is something totally new for her. Since she first met Ridge, she always kept her eye on the prize. Now, she's wondering if it wasn't a booby prize. She's fighting her feelings for her children's sake (and quite honestly, she's a little scared of Stephanie), but she has encouraged Donovan now. How will she deal with his full court press? Stephanie is formulating her plans for her daughters and I'm sure they know it's not over. Some distance may help them, but will their men want them to move in only to escape Stephanie? The "invites" have been out there for awhile (especially Felicia's). Don't give Thorne too much credit for being a no show. Darla was the culprit. The next chapter might be up by the end of the week. This one was hard because I had to play around with Taylor's and Brooke's feelings and I'm still not entirely satisfied with Brooke's. But I do think it will make sense in the coming chapters. |

Great chapter Janice!
I'm really liking Brooke with Gavin. I was a little surprised that she was suddenly into him because she had just seemed so platonic earlier, but I like him so I was glad. I'm so hoping that he's little Hope's father. They are too cute together. I can so see her being his little princess, even if things don't work out between him and Brooke.
Steph's breakfast was like lining up the firing squad. I love that everyone told her off, well except Ridge, but he's a stupid loser anyway. I don't think the ladies men will be too happy that their women are only running to them to escape their evil "OFF with their heads" Queen mother.
I'm loving Donovan and Taylor. Taylor really deserves better than scum-doggy. I'm glad she's giving Donvan an inch (one that just might turn into a mile)
I get the whole Brooke playing the field and being into both guys, probably because I have a friend who was with this guy for almost 20 years (married for atleast 10 of them). Anyway they split up recently (he's kind of like a Ridge because he's a worthless POS and stalking her etc. It would take too long to get into all of his malfunctions) She started dating 4 guys who were all friends. Leave it to me to be all blunt and ask her what the hell she was doing? Letting them take turns passing her around? (OK not my exact words but pretty close to it, I said it jokingly, you get the gist, cuz it kind of sounds like Dot's comment) I felt pretty bad for saying it, like damn did I really say that? But you know the next week, my friend told me she cut down to the 2 of them that she liked the most, and now she's down to one, so I was kind of glad I did. Anyway my point is that afterwards I realized that Ahole had treated her like crap for so long (she basically supported him the whole time they were together)and he was the first serious relationship that she ever had that she was enjoying all the attention and love she was getting for like the first time. She had yet to think about where it was going or anything like that. That's how I'm seeing your Brooke reacting now too. I'm sure she'll think about things and decide what she really wants before long.
I can't wait to find out who Hope's Daddy is and what Senior Crazy pants is going to do next!

Brooke was actually a bit surprised by her reaction to Gavin. And she actually threw him when she responded the way she did. They will be discussing this, but probably in Chapter 10. Most of Chapter 9 will be the fashion show. You expressed exactly how Brooke is feeling and she will be exploring her thoughts and feelings while attending the show with the others. A few other people will be there with (I hope you agree) some interesting results. Felicia is crazy about Hector and he adores her. And Kristen and Pierce really believe nothing like this has ever happened to them. But the men are realists and when they learn that both sisters moved out of Stephanie's house and in with them on the same day, they will question the motives. And each will deal with it his own way. But these two couples won't be breaking up. And Stephanie won't be giving up. Taylor is moving away from Ridge, even as she resists that feeling. And we know Brooke could tell her something that would blow Ridge's family apart and almost destroy Taylor. (Brooke has no intention of doing that to Taylor or the children.) But if Taylor learned the truth about that flight back from Paris, Donovan would be there to help her mend. As their relationship grows (and it will, although both will be very circumspect), watch for a surprising reaction from someone close to Taylor. Be patient about Hope's daddy. And Ridge will be despicable as the story continues. |
