Son of a B*! The other option is Ridge... Grr! Well it's not like I can't believe he took advantage of her like he just did. LOL I think Gavin would neuter him for you for free if he found out about it. I like Gavin he is quite the gentleman, he's good with Hope, his family likes Brooke. He almost seems a little too good to be true? Does he have skeletons?

I am really glad that Eric finally took his balls out of his back pocket (or maybe out of that jar on Stephanie's nightstand) and finally stood up to Ridge and told him he wasn't going to tolerate his petty bullshit anymore! wooo hooo.

It seems that Taylor is quite taken with Donavan, interesting. I'm liking her in this story and she doesn't deserve to be saddled with Ridge, so GO Donovan!

I'm interested to see if Ric and Anne will hit it off. It would be kind of funny to have Brooke dating Gavin and Ric dating Anne.

I think Dot should give you your own section!

Thanks for your kind words. I don't feel like I deserve a section like you guys, but I appreciate the compliment.

Brooke is somewhat concerned that Gavin might have overheard her conversation with Deacon. He has a terrible temper that explodes when someone he cares about is hurt or abused or when he senses injustice. So, there is a skeleton, but he is one of my heroes and, if Brooke should fall for him, it is not insurmountable.

I used to love Eric and I still adore JMcC, so I wanted to give him back his balls in my story. He will try to be considerate of Stephanie (as he feels the mother of his children deserves), but he won't put up with anything. At this late date, he is trying to practice "tough love" with Ridge, but you will see in future chapters how it hurts him that Ridge is turning to Massimo.

I'm glad you're liking Taylor. It's been hard to deal with her latest stunt on the show, so I'm just trying to keep focused on my characters.

Again, thanks for your comments. And I'm off to read your latest chapter. (Oh, and I'm still working on my Brooke/Taylor love story. Maybe it will see the light of day sometime.)

Great chapter Janice! Very absorbing- I only got up to look for my Luctor Et Emergo. (It's getting cold here in Australia)

I am picturing Roger Moore as The Saint in the 1960's for Gavin- would that be accurate? Hmmm, wouldn't Hope be known as 'The Honourable' Hope?? (if Brooke married Gavin)- I like 'cabin', very cute.

I hope Taylor doesn't go too far at lunchtime- as she is a sympathetic character in this, I think she would feel ashamed later. Maybe once she leaves Ridge (ie soon!)

Typical Megan, still trying to tidy up after her employers' various entanglements.

I am glad Deacon has moved on with his life. I did suspect Ridge as #3, I hope the paternity tests don't drag on. Who does Gavin think is Hope's dad? (Can he not count? Ridge, OK, he can't count)

I adore Luctor et Emergo - I've had samples several times, need to order a botlle soon. I had thought of that being one of Felicia's or Bridget's sample fragrances.

I like your idea for Roger Moore from the 60s; but the person I have in mind is Sean Bean.

You're probably right about Hope's title. Maybe I goofed that one up.

Taylor will be wrestling with her guilt over her attraction to Donovan, but Ridge will continue to drive her away. Her thoughts for her children will probably make her hold back, but she will be tempted as never before.

Yes, good old Megan covering the messes of others. I do hope to give her more of her own action later in the story.

If Gavin thought about it, he would know the time frame is right for him to be the father. However, he doesn't know that there is any question about paternity, so he's simply not thinking about it. It will dawn on both men (well, one man and one pig) that they might be the father soon. Their reactions will be significant and will create a mess for Brooke.

Wow! Great chapter. I KNEW it had to be Ridge. Damn that nasty prick took advantage of Brooke. I love how she said he would never know if Hope were his. I love that she trusts Deacon and would prefer him over Ridge. I love that she would like Hope to be Gavin’s but I wonder how that will effect her relationship that is growing with Brandon. I’m torn on whom to root for. I think since Brandon was introduced first he has my initial support and he seems so smitten too! But Gavin seems to really want Brooke and has deep feelings for her. I do think that Brooke likes Gavin but doesn’t have the romantic feelings for him that he as for her. They make awesome friends and if she is going to be with Brandon down the road I hope she and Gavin can continue to be friends. It could be interesting if Hope is his and Brooke loves Brandon, ahhhh but I get ahead of myself. I really loved how Gavin spoke of how Donovan must be crazy to prefer Taylor to Brooke.
Once more I adored your detail. The food, the clothes, the room, everything. I love how Hope talks and how Gavin talks with her.
I really was enjoying Taylor and Donovan. I see sparks and hating Ridge as I do, I’d love to see her move on. I think she will fight much harder for her marriage though.
Ridge is one crazy and scary dude. I’m glad that Eric is ready to wash his hands of him. Ridge deserves it. But I fear for Brooke and Taylor. I really do.

You haven't seen anything yet from my Ridge. He is going to be the scum I see him as in the show and only three people won't realize it (Ridge, Stephanie, and Massimo). And it's not just Brooke and Taylor he'll be harming. But no more hints for now.

Brooke trusts Deacon because he loved Bridget enough to know how wrong they were for each other and to walk away. Deacon won't be a major player in this story (except for the paternity issue), but we will learn more about his new life.

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure if I prefer Gavin or Brandon for Brooke. I have stories going both ways. Hey, maybe she can be married to Brandon in LA and Gavin in London? Brooke will be enjoying the attention of the two men, but true to her heart she will not lead anyone on.

Taylor is really going to be torn. For many reasons (most importantly, her children), she will try to make her marriage work. Right now, she is very drawn to Donovan, but believes he might be a "player" and is simply flirtatious. If he becomes serious about her, all bets are off. And if she should learn Brooke's secret, who knows?

I wanted Eric to be the character I felt Bill Bell created (gentle, but firm, and forgiving to a fault; not the weak indecisive creature Brad has made him.). He still wants to forgive Ridge, but not without Ridge changing. He won't tolerate his granchildren being treated the way they are and he is very protective of both Brooke and Taylor. I want to give him a love interest, but I'm still toying with who.

And, Brooke and Taylor may be in some danger from Ridge. But he is going to hurt someone else even more.
