Nooooo... You just had to put some drama in, didn't you. Isn't it enough that Bridget is tested positive for HIV? I would welcome drama anytime but not Michael and Brooke. Please Dot fix it and do it the next chapter, I beg you. I love you golden couple and don't want them having trouble over some pettiness of Michael's part.
But I just had to comment you on a job well done. Your Stephanie is so evil, twisted and sick and I just love hating her. Poor Eric, he'll feel so terrible. I guess being a parent, the hardest part is your children are hurt and you can't do anything to actually help them.
I sense a doubt in Taylor regarding her friendship with Brooke. Am I right? I can understand her wanting to give Brooke some time with Bridget, but she should at least try to talk to Brooke and not wait until Brooke goes to her for advice or comfort. Sometimes offering a shoulder to cry on is just as good as actually helping.
Great part Dot. I am missing all you other stories. Get writing woman and give us some new chapters. Just kidding. Love ya.

Sometimes offering a shoulder to cry on is just as good as actually helping. Great part Dot. I am missing all you other stories. Get writing woman and give us some new chapters. Just kidding. Love ya. Actually Taylor and Ridge don't know about Bridget, only that she's finally home after running off and Taylor doesn't want to cause any more anguish for Brooke. She is also tired of Ridge still hanging onto his feelings for Brooke. She doesn't really have doubts about her own friendship with Brooke and she'll be there for her when she finds out the real news about Bridget. Sorry about Brooke and Michael. She was very patient with him but he just went too far this time and she was a wreck and she let it all come out. We'll see if they can repair the damage. It is hard that no matter what they all want to do, there is no quick easy fix here. Brooke and Eric as Bridget's parents will have to be supportive and strong. But will it hurt Bridget even more if her mother divorces Michael, who has become Bridget's rock? Thanks so much for reading and commenting!

Hi Queenie! ;D You rock my socks! That was an awesome read. I feel bad for poor Thorne. All this manuevering behind his back. No one wants to give him a chance. And this kid...that infected Bridget...somebody is going to kill him aren't they? Cause they all want him dead for what he did and I can't blame them. Thought it was cute that Bridget told Rick to get in line to kill him. LOL. Joey and Adrienne are hothothot! I love them. I loved seeing Joey talking to Annie about Ade and Ade talking about him to her assistant. Joey and Michael...they are such BOYS. Good grief! How did Annie ever survive trying to rear those two? I'd venture to say this isn't the first time they've had a fistfight and likely would not be the last. They absolutely lost their freakin' minds. Ade kept her cool pretty well, but I'd bet she has some choice words for the both of them once they have their wounds tended and Mike sobers up. You know I about died laughing at the 'Watch it, blondie.' It's so true. And just imagining KKL's Brooke opening and closing her mouth is hysterical. I love it. And GoBrookeGoBrookeGoBrooke! for not being willing to put up with any ex-wife nonsense from Michael. I can't wait to see what happens next for them! Great chapter. Pam

OMG, you updated this story! When I got on the board and saw this, my first thought was grab my son and the adoption paperwork for his sister and go underground because the world is ending. This must have been how the crazy people felt about y2k. But after I got over my shock, I realized the world wasn't ending just because you posted for the first time in FOREVER.
Great chapter. Poor Budge....My heart breaks for her....I know you'll work things out between Michael and Brooke.

Hi Queenie! ;D You rock my socks! That was an awesome read. I feel bad for poor Thorne. All this manuevering behind his back. No one wants to give him a chance. LOL! The poor basement dweller gets no respect, but Brooke has faith in him. Yeah, this loser is going to be in trouble no matter who finds him. Bridget is trying to keep a cheerful attitude so when Rick said that she made a joke. It's not funny but an upbeat attitude will help her! I know you love your JAde and I tried to give you some hotness and yet still not let them get together! Did I do good?? You're right, fighting is not new to them at all. But poor Brooke was stunned with what was going on. Michael being drunk didn't help and neither did the fact that he's hurting so badly about Bridget. Ade will have some choice words, as will Brooke and maybe even Anne, though she is used to this, well not in a while though LOL! Yes! I could just see her doing that too. She knew Ade was right so what could she say to her LOL! Brooke and Michael will have to have a serious talk if they want their marriage to survive. Brooke has too much on her shoulders to have to deal with a husband who is obsessing over an ex wife. Thanks so much for reading and commenting! But get cracking on ITNOT TOO LOL! And hey, I expected an EEEEEEEEEE for JAde!

Thank you so much for this chapter!!!As usual I loved it!! I was kind of hoping Bridget would be tested negative but of course they can't live happily forever!!I hope she won't be sick too soon! She's so young and has so much things to experience...I think it's cute how Mike is everybody's rock Bridget totally changed her attitude after their talk!! Ridge is so annoying !everybody knows he loves Brooke but can't he just be quiet about it at least in front of Taylor....I loved Brooke and Taylor's friendship and it hasn't been the same for so long!! I love Jade they are so hot!!!And I can understand that Mike would be upset about it but he knows how Brooke feels about ex-wives and being second choice and I really hate the scene he made at the party!I know he was drunk but Brooke needs him more than ever and she was right to warn him!!I hope he gets the message and fix it but I know he has a mean temper and he could make things worse... About the problems at the office I don't feel bad about Thorne if he's not right for the job Brooke should see it and defend her interests!I don't think she should go back to full time job though: Bethany and Bridget need her more!I wonder what will Thorne's reaction be? Can't wait for the next part!!!!Are you writing for Paradise now??I know I'm not being patient...

He's just a man and he's hurting too. I think that's why he ended up getting drunk, it just got to be too much for him. But he will wake up sober and get back to what he does best, that is if Brooke let's him. Ridge is so tired of being accused of doing wrong with Brooke. He does love her and he always will, but he's happy with his marriage and he wants to make it work. It's all hard on Taylor because now she sees not just that Ridge can't really let go of Brooke, but that he has interest in Vanessa, a woman she never heard of. She and Brooke are still friends but at the moment they each have their own problems to deal with. Michael doesn't really trust his brother yet. He's trying to but it seems each step forward something new comes out that makes him doubt him. Michael and Adrienne are very close and Brooke knows it, but now isn't the time for him to be obsessing about protecting her. And I really do think she can hold her own with Joey even if she didn't want him. Brooke has faith in Thorne and she thinks that it's not that the others don't, it's that they want what she gave him. She is not ready to come back so she is going to stick with her decision. Thorne won't be happy with his family but he will be happy that Brooke believes in him. Yes, Paradise is up next, I'm just rereading it so I know where to get started! Thanks for reading and commenting!

OK Miss Dot darling, You are offically forgiven for taking your sweet time getting this chapter out to us because that my dear just F*c^ing ROCKED!!!!!! SERIOUSLY DA BOMB girlfriend! Damn I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with the one line fulL of irony that had me LMAO in particular (although as usual there were a lot of those) Bridget wiping her nose with a tissue! ~SNARK! I know not the same Bridget as on screen, cuz I really love this one, but I couldn't help thinking of the show and gigling all the same. OK now for the real stuff. I got my JAde! Happy dance of joy! I LOVE them together and I have oh so much to look forward to in the next chapter. (even if I don't get it until Christmas time LOL) They are soooo HOT together. I am psyched that they are finally giving in to their feelings and now looking like they won't let Michael keep them apart. Woooo Hooo! I'm blaming Michael reacting as poorly as he did to being drunk off his ass, and to extent I can understand his reaction. He is protective of Ade and Joey has done some f*cked up things in his life so I can see him being hesitant about Ade being the right person for him to get involved with. That and I think they have this macho competition thing going, with him being used to being the big brother and Joey the screw up. I understand Brooke being upset over Michael's inner Ridge showing but I think she is blowing it out of proportion slightly because she's already upset about Bridget. I think she's jumping to divorce conclusion way too quickly, they need the dust to settle and Michael to realize he was just being an overprotective drunken ass. Like you commented to someone Ade is a big girl and more than capable of taking care of herself, she's not being taken advantage of by Joey, she's going into this with her eyes wide open, and Mike needs to realize that. I think once they have both cooled down, they'll come to the conclusion that they can't let something like this break them apart. They BOTH need to strong for Bridget and be there for her. Bridget's devotion to Mike should give Brooke a clue, that she's going to need the whole family there to support her and right now Bridget feels closer to Mike than anyone else because he's close to her situation. She trusts him and she's depending on him, not that Bridget wouldn't have Mike's support if he and Brooke weren't together, but it would mean more to Bridget with them being a team. There'd be a certain amount of animosity between Brooke and Mike seperately, and right now I think bridget needs to be their center. I'm proud of Brooke that she doesn't want to settle for being second but I really in my mind don't see that she is with Mike. I'm glad that Storm and Colin are one step closer to finding Jason's real parents. I'm not sure what that is going to bring them, but it's nice to see that it's moving along. I'm glad that the "Aunt" could help them out. I'm one of those fake Aunt's too LOL. Poor, poor Bridget. I'm so sad for her. At least she has a good attitude in the whole situation now, and hopefully there is help coming for her. She's not sick yet anyway which is good. I wouldn't have the balls or the research skills to dare touch this in a fic, but you really are doing an awesome job with this. The dialog and everything, it's just how you think someone would actually really kind of react like. Handled way better than B&B did with the whole Tony SL. You really have me feeling for her and wanting to see how she deals with trying to live her "normal" life and deal with everything. Damn dare I say I love your Bridget. You're going to bring her friend back from the dinner still right? Cuz I really liked him. Which brings me to Stephanie that evil heartless, cluesless witch. She's really still so wrapped up her vendetta against Brooke that she hasn't got a clue to what reality is. Brooke doesn't want to be bothered with Forrester, she doesn't want Ridge back, Bethany is SO not his baby, and if they all tried supporting Thorne (heavan forbid) and working WITH him instead of looking out for their own agendas the company prolly wouldn't be in dire straits! Thorne just isn't as good with dealing with all of their animosity as Brooke was. (You'd think the guy would be used to it by now) I feel bad for Thorne because everyone is writing him off but because we haven't really seen what is going on in his mind I don't know if it's him trying too hard to please everyone or what is going on with his failure. I know you have no love for the sweater monkey, but next chapter for me can you clue us in to where Thorne is at in this whole debacle? I just knew the shit was about to hit the fan when Megan was asking Brooke to rethink her decision. And if I know Brooke, her personal problems at home are going to make her want to throw herself into her work and it would be VERY tempting for her to come back in the CEO capicity especially if she's stubborn and doesn't come to a resolution with Micheal. And that damn Satanie is getting ready to hatch some kind of plan against her, so she better look out! Oh and I'm actually kind of feeling bad for Ridge. LOL I didn't think it was possible. But I almost want him to work things out with Taylor. The nagging Vannessa thing has be wondering though if he deserves her. Maybe we will see more of Vannessa in the next chapter. Fantastic chapter Dot! LOL I'll try and not complain about waiting so much for your next one, but girl when they're that good, it's kind of hard NOT to want one!

OK Miss Dot darling, You are offically forgiven for taking your sweet time getting this chapter out to us because that my dear just F*c^ing ROCKED!!!!!! SERIOUSLY DA BOMB girlfriend! Awwwh that's sweet. I was hoping it would be worth the wait. I admit, I was nervous about it. I'd like to say that I threw that in on purpose, but I really didn't even think about it. I'm just trying to throw my characters into the situations and see where their heads would be at. Bridget's would be in a tissue! LOL! When I started bringing Joey and Ade together I was going to have them pretty much good pals. Ade was like an older sister to him, where his real older sister was like a mom. But little by little I saw something stronger growing. I admit that I was becoming a bit bored with Felicia and I wanted Joey to move on, though the family tie thing was interesting. Pam asked me if maybe I could go with the JAde thing. She was my first JAde fan LOL! So yes, I think you've got it all right about Michael and Joey and why Michael doesn't like it, though there's a touch of good old fashioned jealously and possessiveness too LOL! Brooke is sad and angry and overly emotional and she is reacting to everything. She was right when she was telling Michael how she excused the drinking and all she wanted was for him to just chill, but he couldn't. I think calmer minds will prevail. They've both just started on a very scary and emotional journey and they don't know how to react. You're right about Bridget, right now Michael is her lifeline, she trusts him more than anyone else and she needs him. Even if Brooke and Michael do separate, he will still be there for Bridget, but it would be much better for her if they are together. As for Brooke, you are 100% right, she is not and has never been in a competion for Michael's heart. She's just very emotional and seeing a side of him that reminds her of why she and Ridge didn't work! Bryan and Connor are going to find out some new things when they meet "Aunt" Pam. I can't tell you if it will make it easier or harder for Storm and Colin to adopt him, but I will tell you that it will greatly effect Jason's life. I hated the way that Brad dealt with the Tony story. I'm not saying that I will do it better or worse or more realistic or whatever, but I am going to try. But remember, this is fiction and I'm not trying to give PSA's, I'm trying to entertain. So bear with me and come along for the ride. And yes, Jacob is coming back, you'll see him in the next chapter when he learns Bridget's secret. Stephanie is one of my favorite characters to write. I love having her all up in arms with her obsession with Brooke. She really doesn't grasp the idea that Brooke really HAS moved on. As for Bethany, everyone tells her to just look at her. I think maybe she is believing that now. Poor Thorne, well you know he isn't my favorite character but I thought at the time that he would be the one person Brooke felt safe in trusting with her job. She still feels that way. Now lets see if she gets involved again, or throws her support to Thorne or if Eric can convince her to sell to him! I felt sorry for Ridge too. He's very misunderstood. Yes, he loves Brooke and always will, but he wants his marriage and he wants to be with Taylor. You're right, Vanessa is not done and she will play into it, as well as Chris who is interested in Taylor. Thanks so much for the wonderful comments! I'm so glad you enjoyed it and I will try not to make you wait as long next time!

Dot, it was a wonderful chapter and I will comment more tomorrow or over the weekend. But, for now, I have one thing to say. I was glad to see Bryan, but could you please get him a woman???
The scenes with Bridget were heartbreaking and heart-warming at the same time. Absolutely superb!
Thanks.

All I can say is WOW! This chapter was absolutely AWESOME! It was well worth the wait and hit on every level. Where to begin?
Bridget's HIV-positive status is heartbreaking. I really hoped that the test would come back negative. But, of course, where's the drama in that? This is such a timely issue because young people are becoming infected at increasingly younger ages. I thought the reactions of those who love her were very realistic. I'm so glad that they didn't wait to tell Brooke and that Brooke informed Eric immediately. I was also moved by all the regrets the grownups had. I think that Bridget is handling this with more maturity than I gave her credit for. I have no doubt that she wants things as normal as possible and that she wants to have a positive outlook on her future. And, thank you for NOT including Stephanie in this! Like Brooke, I don't think I could have handled her attitude right now. She's such an evil, spiteful person. I have no doubt she would have found a way to make this all about Brooke and Michael and would have showed her ass. Imagine, someone going to someone else's home intent on stirring up trouble! I look forward to seeing Bridget's REAL family deal with this. I don't include Stephanie in that number. She can say all she wants about how much she loves Bridget and Rick, but her actions speak much louder than any words ever could.
I also thank you for dealing with the storyline realistically. I've always hated the way Tony's storyline was handled. I also think that having a major character become infected makes the story that much more compelling. I still remember how devastated I was when GH's Robin Scorpio contracted HIV from Stone, who unknowingly had full-blown AIDS. What really made the story that much more poignant was that viewers saw Robin grow up as a little girl. I also think this is the case with your Bridget, whom we've all "known" since before she was born. And, nice touch, too, in having the grownups discuss the importance of testing. I know that people snark on the message boards all the time about how Brooke, Ridge, this character or that, should have venereal diseases by now. But, having the characters examine their own sexual behavior and the cavalier risks they may have taken is a nice touch.
I'm so glad we got some Brooke and Michael lovin'! It's about time! LOL! They really needed to connect on so many levels and as they said, they've still got it. That's why I was surprised by the blowup that came later on. WOW! I have to tell you this was more laughs than Peyton Place! Like Brooke, I am also disappointed that Michael couldn't hold it together and just had to show his ass like that. How embarrassing for Brooke and Bridget! I know that Michael was under considerable strain, but to disrespect Brooke like that in front of her guests was outrageous. I don't blame her for letting him have it. Getting into a fist fight over an ex-wife who used to be an EFF-buddy? Uh uh! Brooke has definitely had enough of looking over her shoulder and dealing with the ex-wife blues. Hopefully, the Copelands can work through this. Obviously, they need to be a family for Bethany and Bridget's sakes. BTW, I loved Brooke's comment about Michael's "inner Ridge." LOL! Oh, and even funnier was Adrienne's comeback to Brooke's comment about Michael and Joey being brothers. As much as I love Brooke, even I gasped, "oh, no she didn't!"
I wasn't sure it would work at first, but I think Jade has definitely grown on me. Score one for Pam for recognizing the potential! They are smoking HOT! Frankly, I don't know how Ade was able to keep a straight face, much less walk straight, after the preview in the car. I can't wait to see what you have in store for them next!
How does Eric stand being married to that hateful shrew? What does he get out of the marriage? That woman is so busy obsessing about Ridge and Brooke that she didn't even look at the baby. She should just let Eric go and end the misery already. I've never seen such a negative person in all my life. And, Brooke's a better woman than I am because if my mother was being hassled by some hateful hag in my own home, there would have been TWO fistfights my guests would need to break up! Quick question: Does Eric not know about what happened between Felicia and Michael? And, if he ultimately found out, will this impact how he feels toward him especially since Bridget trusts Michael so much?
I have to admit that I'm disappointed that Thorne's leadership appears to be a failure. I honestly hoped that he would thrive in his new position. Is this a one-time thing based on circumstances beyond his control (such as market forces), or is he really not cut out for a leadership role? I'm also disappointed that his own family has so little faith in him. I'm sure if it was Ridge, they would have bent over backwards to encourage him. Whatever the bad news is, it must not be pretty any time Brooke has to practically be begged to come back. Will her faith in Thorne's leadership be justified in the end?
And, the search for Jason's family has taken a really interesting turn. I'm very curious as to whether they will want him, or if Storm and Colin's orientation will be a factor in their pursuing Jason.
As annoying as Ridge can be with his constant reminders of how much he loves his "Logan," I couldn't help but be as exasperated as he was. It's like he couldn't do anything right in this chapter! LOL! I just knew that the moment he was allowed to hold Bethany that he would catch hell for it. He's desperately trying to hold on to his marriage, but he needs to respect Taylor and give her the space she needs and stop trying to take advantage of every little opening. He screams at his mother and it just goes in one ear and out the other. Poor thing. I'm sure he's wondering, "when is it MY turn to get some respect?" And, then there's still the matter of Vanessa, who I fully expected to show up on Ridge's doorstep or at the party.
This was an awesome and exciting chapter! I look forward to reading more, as well as more of Paradise and ITNOT.
